If you are like me and play guitar or any other instruments with chord sheets at some point you probably have felt overwhelmed with stacks of paper, a library of PDFs, or links to websites that don't always work to pull up your music.
This last year I started embracing Songbook Pro to organize all my music. It's ridiculously easy to use (especially if you are familiar with planning center's music stand app). What makes this app really stand out is the ability to cut and paste songs into songbook. It will even convert everything over to the pro cord format so you can have more accurate chord sheets. There is a metronome, the ability to write and make notes on your chord sheets, and you can even link to Spotify or YouTube versions of the songs that you're trying to do.
The app also includes the ability to make setlists, transpose the songs into different keys on the fly or adjust them for capo, and even resize the text so that it is easier to see. I like putting my chords in a different color than the words.
Lastly, connectivity on this app is where it really shines. If you're like me and you already have a ton of web links to guitar tabs from a website on your desktop or laptop, you can actually enter and manage your music through your web browser. Additionally, if you pay for the full version of the app, you can also back up all your files to the cloud and synchronize them across all of your devices.
If you made it this far, thanks. I don't normally rave about an app, but this one has been so useful and it is still being improved. Today they announced that they have midi support, so you can now attach things like foot pedals to flip the pages.
