Family Style is a casual worship community for families of all shapes and sizes who want to know and You have a place at the table.

Family Style is a casual worship community for families of all shapes and sizes who want to know and share the love of Jesus in our city. We meet weekly on Saturday evenings in the Worship Center at FUMC Burleson. But what makes Family Style different? We share in community around tables. We are radically inclusive - everybody has a place at the table. Conversation and storytelling is all around. The music is laid back and on track with no song out of bounds. And holy communion, the truly open table, is offered every week. We strive to grow in relationship like the first church, the one in the Book of Acts, through worship, prayer, teaching, and in sharing meals together. A free dinner begins at 5pm with a shared meal and casual conversation, with a transition to worship at 6pm, all in the same room, around the same tables. Children have a special place at Family Style and we encourage families to worship and participate together throughout the evening. Tables are set up with butcher paper and crayons for children and adults to experience worship in their own way. Teaching is approached through the lens of scripture, whether it be a topic or a Bible study. Discussion and conversation is encouraged at all points – we are a faith family that values questions, listens, and shares our faith journeys together.

Due to an air-conditioning issue in the youth building both dinner and worship will be in our main worship space in the main building tonight. See y’all soon!!

Beginning this Saturday, Family Style dinner will be potluck style! The theme for this Saturday is Tacos! We have all of the basics covered for this week but feel free to bring a side or dessert to share if you are able. If not, please still come - we will always have plenty! Dinner is at 5, followed by worship at 5:30. We hope to see you soon!

Dinner Saturday will be Fideo loco, beans, chips, queso, salsa and Mexican bread. There will also be chicken nuggets available. As always feel free to bring a side or dessert to share. We will eat in the main worship center and then move to the youth building in the back for worship. We hope to see you soon!

We will not have worship this Saturday due to the July 4th holiday. We will see you next week on July 11 where we will continue in our Summer in the Psalms worship series! You are welcome to join us Sunday morning at 9 or 11 this weekend! Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

Dinner tonight is nachos with all the fixings and cheesecake bites for dessert. We will also have chicken nuggets available. As always feel free to bring aside or dessert to share! We will also be sharing about high school mission trip tonight. Dinner is at five followed by worship at 5:30. We hope to see you soon!
