In this closing clip “The Disconnect” Lady Sherri highlights a critical turning point in Joshua’s journey. The greatest challenge was not stepping into Moses’ position but learning to shift his dependence from Moses’ voice to God’s Word. In Joshua 1:8, God redirects Joshua’s focus: stop living on yesterday’s conversations and start living by the continual revelation of God’s Word. What would sustain him was not the memory of Moses’ guidance, but the constant meditation in God’s truth. The command to meditate day and night means God’s Word was to become the governing influence over every decision, perspective, and action. The same is true for the Believer today. Spiritual strength comes when God’s voice becomes louder than every other voice; understanding that your future is secured by what God has spoken concerning your life!

The meditation described in Joshua 1:8 is more than reading God’s Word, it’s repeatedly impressing God’s Word upon the heart and mind until it shapes the way we think, speak, and live. The Hebrew word “hagah” means to mutter, rehearse, and reflect continually, painting the picture of someone constantly turning God’s truth over in their spirit. This is the essence of inculcation: the repeated impressing of truth until it becomes firmly established within us. God instructed Joshua to meditate day and night because victory is not produced by occasional exposure to God’s Word, but by its continual implantation into our hearts. What we repeatedly rehearse, we eventually embody.

This clip reveals the Invisible Security God was building in Joshua’s life as shown in Joshua chapter 1. Moses had been a visible leader, but the true source of authority was never Moses, it was the Word of God entrusted to him. Though Moses was gone, God’s presence remained, God’s Word remained, and God’s promise remained. Joshua’s confidence could no longer rest in what he could see, but in the God he could trust. Real security is not found in people, positions, or circumstances; it is found in the unchanging presence and promises of God.

This clip “The Shift” highlights a pivotal moment in Joshua’s journey: the shift from depending on a person to total dependence on God’s Word. With Moses gone, God redirects Joshua’s confidence away from the past leadership of Moses and toward the unchanging truth of His Word. The assignment remains, the purpose remains, and God’s message is clear: don’t cling to what was temporary, anchor yourself in what is eternal. When God shifts your focus from people to His presence, He is preparing you for your next level of purpose.
