God Is For Us

The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? Psalm 118:6 NLT

If only we really believed this, right? We want to believe it. We try to believe it. We will ourselves to believe it. But we can get so frightened about what people, things, and circumstances around us can do to us that we forget Who is for us.

God is our everything; and When we remember who God is and what He’s done, we’ll be more likely to walk with hope when things are threatening to overwhelm us.

God Strengthens Us

The strength we possess as humans is limited. No matter how many self-help ideas we implement or positive statements we proclaim, our strength will only take us so far. That may discourage some, but hopefully, the truth we read from God’s Word will deposit hope in us instead.

In 2 Corinthians 12, the apostle Paul was sharing about a “thorn in his flesh” that continued to “torment” him. He actually pleaded and begged God to remove it. And each time God told him, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9)

In this time, let’s not forget how powerful our words are. Although we are not able to be with some of our friends and family, we do have the opportunity to speak through our phones or social media!

Many of us have enough at this time, but there are many who are hurting financially, physically (sickness), or even mentally.

Let’s remember how we have an impact though we are socially distancing. Reach out to your loved ones, church members, friends, or acquaintances. It is great to hear positive words and words of LIFE in a trying time.
