Project URGE, Inc.

Project URGE, Inc. We ignite change in historically marginalized communities by dismantling barriers created by poverty, community violence, & systemic racism.

Through support, & unwavering advocacy, we empower people to transorm hardship into lasting opportunity 1 John 3:18 “Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.”

“You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave or free, male nor f

emale, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians 3:26-28

“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power.” 1 Corinthians 4:20

Jesus replied: “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40

He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough?” Matthew 13:33

Hey Facebook Family! Let's come together to uplift a set of children in need. A 12-year-old boy and his 3-year-old brother have suffered a tremendous loss, losing their mom this past Monday. In the face of this adversity, we can make a difference. She had planned to take them school shopping this weekend, so let's rally to provide them with the essentials. Any donations would be a blessing to these children and their elderly grandparents. The 12-year-old needs a backpack and school supplies to thrive. He wears size 9 sneakers (men's), and his school uniform consists of khaki pants and navy blue polo shirts, medium to large in size. He's tall and medium-built. The 3-year-old baby boy wears 5T and pull-ups, and any additional donations are appreciated.

Mothers In Need of Others has moved!

Over the years, Mothers In Need of Others has flourished as a ministry of Project URGE, Inc., providing emergency support for babies, toddlers, mothers and families by partnering with churches and social service agencies.

In early 2024, with enormous pride and gratitude, we embraced the transition of the MINO ministry from Project URGE, Inc. into the care and leadership of Foodlink, Inc., an organization we’ve respected and supported for years.

Ministry Director Maria Wehrle has always been deeply passionate about supporting families and particularly mothers with young children in crisis, and we’re confident she’ll continue along that path under the umbrella of Foodlink. We believe the match is perfect in every way, and wish them both continued success as they serve families in crises throughout the region.

Reach out to Maria at Foodlink by email at [email protected], or by phone at (585) 413-5071 (desk) and (585) 348-8596 (cell).

If you are a parent, you know that children get sick A LOT!
Mothers In Need of Others ministry offers struggling parents the hygiene products and cleaning supplies they need to keep their families healthier, especially during cold and flu season.
It's a proven fact that frequent use of these products in the home helps to reduce the spread of germs that cause illness.
