Exodus3LA Encountering the Reality of Jesus Christ

www.yelp.com/biz/exodus3la-los-angeles-2 Did you know the Gospel means “good news”? No strings attached. No religion.

Exodus3 found its origins in a small Bible Study in the living room of our beloved Pastor Chi Song. Our name comes from the second book of the Bible, Exodus, where God uses Moses and later Joshua, to deliver the Israelites out of their slavery in Egypt and into the Promised Land. After this first exodus comes the second in which God uses the prophet Nehemiah to lead His people out of Babylonian ca

ptivity. We are now living in the time of the third exodus. We believe the first two exoduses were a foreshadowing of the third exodus in which God delivers those who are spiritually bound by legalism or the like into spiritual freedom through Jesus Christ. Similar to how Moses had a real encounter with God through a burning bush in the third chapter of Exodus, we believe genuine spiritual freedom can only be experienced when one truly encounters the grace of God. We invite you to join us and taste the authentic flavor of the Gospel as it was originally intended. As we allow God to live His life through His followers, this brings true freedom, genuine peace, and most importantly, rest. This rest is a direct result of developing an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. No guilt-trips. Only Truth. Unadulterated. Unfiltered. Raw. Truth. Finally. A place where you can come and experience what it really means to “enjoy Jesus.”

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”
‭‭John‬ ‭15‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭

Dear Lord, thank you for the indwelling Holy Spirit through your son Jesus Christ. Though various thoughts and lies come into my mind from every direction, thank you for your continuous pouring out of the Spirit that leads me to truth, and overwhelming every corner of my heart. May you lead and guide me today from one moment to the next by your grace and power, as you transform me to be more like you. May your inevitable overflow be ever glorifying to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

S2G Devotional- “Praying in the Spirit”

Luke 11:11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

God desires a relationship with His children. Prayer is a way we can commune with our Heavenly Father, through the Holy Spirit. He doesn’t need a polished prayer. Instead, he invites us to simply abide in Him.

As we abide in prayer, God changes and transforms us. We go from desiring things of the world, to desiring God Himself— our true Peace, Rest, Hope, and Joy. And we can be 100% confident that He will answer when we ask, seek and knock for the Holy Spirit!

Heavenly Father, thank you for breathing your Holy Spirit— the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead— in me. Today, I surrender my weaknesses and my strengths in exchange for more of you. Fill me with your Spirit to help me to trust and declare “Not my will, but yours be done.”

“Turning around, Jesus saw them (Andrew and another) following and asked, “What do you want?” They said, “Rabbi” (which means “Teacher”), “where are you staying?” “Come,” he replied, “and you will see.” So they went and saw where he was staying, and they spent that day with him. It was about four in the afternoon.”
John 1:38-39

Andrew was introduced by John and was invited by the living God Himself to stay with Him. Jesus made His dwelling place Andrew’s dwelling place. This is a perfect picture of salvation! God repented Andrew by faith through grace. After this encounter, Andrew, who might have always been an introducer, became on fire with true purpose to introduce and invite the lost to the one true Way and Life. Jesus is the ultimate introducer and inviter. He is our salvation and confidence. And He leads us to point the lost to Him saying 👉 “Go, and you will see.”

Aimee from shares her powerful testimony of surrendering to God’s will and purpose for her life, and the transformation that followed.

Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
