KOC Council 13452 Fr. Michael J. McGivney of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, CT formed the KofC on Mar. 29, 1882 Why Become a Knight?

Knights are committed to making the world a better place for everyone to live in. Our main objective as Catholic men, is to live the ways of Christ. You too, can help demonstrate how a good Christian should follow Christ’s teachings. History:

The council was chartered in 2004 at Blessed Sacrament with 35 members and has grown to over 80 members today. We are a Parish based council, thus our mission puts special emphasis on strongly supporting our parish and priests in any way we can. Meeting Information:

Council meetings are held in the Blessed Sacrament Parish Center the Second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m.

Once again, Woody mobilized a coterie of woodchucks to start the first deliveries for winter 2026. Three clients southwest of Midland benefited from their efforts. Look for his emails in order to help with the effort!

We had another good day processing firewood with Woody and the woodchucks. With dedicated chainsaws, loaders, splitters, and stackers, the work goes quickly!

Woody has put a call out for all Woodchucks, chipmunks, and poodles to join us as we continue processing lumber north of town. If you could lose a few pounds and would like to work outside for a bit (or conversely, if your wife is tired of tripping over you), feel free to join us at 10am on Tuesday, Oct. 6, at our Hubbard road site.

Woody roused his woodchucks again this week and they spent a few hours chewing up a huge pile of wood! With a cool day and a tractor to move the logs, an easy time was had by all. Even Larry's dog had a fun day out!

If you are ever sitting around wondering if you should hit the stair climber, elliptical, or treadmill, just remember that there is always another option! Join Woody’s woodchucks and work off those extra pounds the old fashioned way - by chucking large chunks of wood into trucks and hauling them all over the county. Watch your email for your next exercise opportunity!

The Knights were out helping a local arborist at the Midland Humane Society drop and process a dead tree that fell during the storm, and then moved the wood to our storage site at Woody's.

With the warmer weather, the woodchucks have been out cutting and splitting wood at our site north of town almost every week. If your wife needs you out of the house, and you need some healthy exercise and male companionship, contact "Woody" Rupp and join us!

Once again, the Knights were out in the community helping out families. Today's project was to help Carl build a wall, hang a door in that wall, drywall the attic space in front of the wall to create a room, and to also hang shelves downstairs in his garage. Carl is still dealing with back pain from a second surgery and can't move the heavy sheeting around. About 7 hours later, the finish mudding was applied.
