I make Memory/T-shirt/custom quilts, pillows, and stuffed animals. My name is Destiny Pennington. I have made hundreds of quilts since then.

I am a Music Teacher/ Violinist by trade and love, but I have had a passion for sewing, quilting and crafting also. I learned how to sew at age 10 and started quilting 26 years ago. I loved watching my mother and paternal grandmother make clothes for me. I started making quilting my passion when I made my first quilt 26 years ago for my daughter when she moved into her "big girl" bed. I plan to retire from teaching in about 5 years and quilt full time. Thank you for visiting my page. Let me know if I may help!

I appreciate all of the support from the previous contest in the Fall, The Best of Polk County. Now I’ve been nominated for the best of East Texas. It’s a daily voting contest until the end of the month. There are numerous categories from the several neighboring counties, so if you have some favorites from other towns around East Texas, they are probably listed. I am listed under the services section for Sewing/ Alterations . I appreciate everyone keeping me super busy In my career change!

This was a fun project! Mama/Mimi/Nana/ MeMa, etc, keepsake applique shirt or sweatshirt made with the fabric from your child’s baby outfits, kids clothing or decorative fabric.
