Starting Today Anything Is Possible!

Every summer in Moldova, for the almost forty kids in our homes, we pull out all the stops to make sure every one of our incredible teenagers enjoy an unforgettable time of refreshing and blessing at our annual summer camp.

There’s just something about camp that opens hearts and opens the door for profound encounters in the lives of our young people.

They’ve been through the mill in their lives, some facing heartbreak, some coming from brutal poverty, others surviving abuse, still others recovering from being abandoned – you name it, they’ve dealt with it.

But at summer camp, amidst all the fun, the relaxing atmosphere, the total change of pace from school and all the responsibilities of life, anything can happen – lives change, attitudes soften, old wounds heal.

As I write, camp started today, and six of our Alabama leadership team are there working with them, ministering to them from morning till night, pouring into their lives.

Thank you for your prayers and support and for making all this possible. Your generous love is changing their lives right now as they experience this year’s camp. Please pray for them!

Easter blessings to you all!

In John, Chapter 11, we read about Jesus raising Lazarus to life, and we can rejoice in the promises Jesus makes both for today and for eternity in verses 25 and 26. Jesus speaks boldly to Martha about who He really is: “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

Praise God that relationship with the living Christ is ours today, and that resurrection power is already at work in our lives, but only if we believe in Him.

And even in death, He promises that we still live, for He IS the resurrection and the life. Jesus doesn’t just provide resurrection life, He IS resurrection life, and believing in Him is the only guaranteed access to eternal life there is, and it’s also how we experience His power right now.

He unleashed power over death for Lazarus that day, and He is ready to defeat death for you, too, AND revolutionize every single moment of your future from now on! Don’t want to miss out on that? Then it’s necessary to answer the question Jesus asked Martha: “Do you believe this?”

In the three AIM Moldova homes (two for girls, one for boys) there are currently 36 teens. So many of them have fought battles and survived unspeakable adversity. But don’t think they’re sitting around feeling sorry for themselves. While we make sure they have a safe place to stay, nutritious food, good clothes and that they can complete their education, introducing them to Christ, helping them grow in their walk with God, and giving them opportunities to reach out to help others are our top priorities.

Yesterday, some of our teens made the nearly-two-hour drive south from our homes and went to the little village of Visniovca. It’s definitely one of those “middle-of-nowhere” type places, and most people there don’t have much of anything. It’s a real labor of love and I am so proud of our teens for their efforts to share the Gospel and bring folks real help. Our senior director in Moldova, Mr. Slavik, said, “It's really impressive, today 40 children from Visniovca benefited from the care of the AIM youth team. Thank God!”

A big “Well done!” to all involved— we know you’re just getting started!

📍MOLDOVA MISSION: We’re On Our Way! ✈️🇲🇩

Six suitcases. Packed to the brim with camp supplies. Hearts full and ready.

Our team just landed in Moldova—one of the poorest countries in Europe, tucked between Ukraine and Romania. Since the war in Ukraine began, Moldova has lived under the constant threat of invasion, and many of the rural villages are gripped by deep poverty—some without even access to clean water.

But this week, we carry living water.

Tomorrow we begin our first youth camp—an outreach in a small village where there’s only a tiny pioneer church presence. Pray with us that the Gospel will take root in the hearts of young people and bring lasting change to this community.

After that, we’ll have just one day to regroup before launching a second camp for our AIM Moldova teens. Pray for strength, boldness, and a mighty move of God in the lives of each student.

This was a great day celebrating the end of the school year with our kids and staff in Moldova. Some were graduating, others marking another year of learning and progress. We thank God for them and all that He has planned for each of these amazing young people.
