At the beginning of this year, I asked myself a simple question: what is the best way to approach this new year? What is the best attitude that God will honor? While praying about this, a friend texted me a Scripture and asked me to write a short meditation on it. That verse deeply resonated with me as it is very well known to all of us: Isaiah 6:8. I suddenly realized once again that I have to surrender everything to the Lord: my life, my time, my plans, my ministry, my title, my family, my future, my health, my fears, my dreams, my problems and my everything! I had to come back to something simple but radical:
“Here I am, Send Me!”
Five words that can change the entire trajectory of a life.
Five words that are radical in affirmation, transformational in vision, and missional in purpose. This is the posture God desires from every believer. What is the adequate response to the Great Commission — “Go and make disciples of all nations…”?
There is only one: “Here I am, Send Me!”
This declaration embodies the Clarity of Call. There is no confusion, no hesitation — only the recognition that God has placed a divine assignment on one’s life.
It demands a Complete Consecration, a life fully surrendered to God, dependent on His strength, yielded to His will, and anchored in radical obedience to Jesus.
It expresses a Conscious Commitment — an intentional, unwavering decision to serve God. This is the moment of resolve: no turning back, no turning back.
It reveals a Caring Compassion for the harvest. This call is fueled by God’s own love for the lost, the greatest motivator for mission.
And ultimately, it leads to a Compelling Commission — the God‑given authority to represent His kingdom within this world, to carry His message, His power, and His presence wherever He sends us.
God is calling. God is sending. God will take care of the rest!
How will you respond?
There is only one acceptable answer:
Here I am, Send Me!
