”In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.“
‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭5‬, ‭14‬

How beautiful of God to come as a child, grow into our savior, and live on among us through the Spirit and the Word!

How will you enjoy the presence and gift of Jesus in these next few weeks leading up to Christmas?

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬-‭15‬
God has blessed us with a community sincere in love. Thank you to all who strive to live out this passage- we see your light shining!

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬
We’ve been talking all week about how God transforms people- but it takes our willingness! From Rahab to Zacchaeus, our reaction to Jesus’ call and the steps of action we choose matter to God.
What action will you take today to continue allowing God to transform your mind?
Consider this and let us know below! 🫶🏿🫶🏼🫶🏽

What are you hungry for?
“One who is full loathes honey from the comb, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.” - Proverbs‬ ‭27‬:‭7‬
It’s all about perspective. That sermon point you’re tired of might be exactly the message God wants you to speak to your neighbor. The desire you haven’t seen fulfilled might be something you are kept from for your own protection.
Keep striving to have your “God googles” on in every circumstance- you never know this God might be trying to grow you if you just line things up to His word!

What does it mean to have Jesus as Lord of my life?
It takes two things;
Accepting His control & His authority = Lordship.
Control is the easier of the two, once you understand God’s goodness and promises for you putting it all in His hands can be a big relief.
Authority, however, can be a struggle for even the most seasoned of saints. It takes a lot of heart-work to say “but even if you don’t, Lord, I will praise you.”
To have a heart that chooses this even in the heat of the moment is long journey of complete surrender.
And- it is a faith that God is amazed by.

We looked at the example of the centurion and of Ruth on Sunday; here is another group standing strong together with the conviction of all control and authority in God’s hands:
“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.””
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What steps will you take to be one united with the believers in Lordship?
Share what helps you surrender to the control or authority of Jesus below!

“After more than 30 years serving in ministry, it was a blessing and joy to get time away to focus on refreshment. Psalm 46:10 well describes the time and we are grateful for the support of our church family to take this much-needed time.”
- The Marburys

We are so excited to have the Marburys back, refreshed and ready, from their sabbatical! We can’t wait to hear more about how they have let God transform them as they honored Him in their rest- and are grateful they chose to return to Him in their work after such a wonderful break!

Welcome them back below! 🥳
