Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion

Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion Holy Communion is a welcoming and diverse community seeking to walk in the way of Jesus and to reveal Christ’s reconciling love in our world.

We believe God calls us into community, and that God values diversity. During his earthly life, Jesus walked with a community that defied the power structures of his day. As a preacher, he talked about the “Reign of God” a vision of God’s beloved community living relationships of justice. At Holy Communion we seek to be anti-racist and to counter discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender,

language and culture. We value single people, partnered people, young people, older people, and people with disabilities. We include people of all genders (cis and trans) in leadership. The more diverse our community, the more fully we can glimpse the beautiful breadth of God’s creation. Whoever you are, wherever you are on the journey of faith, you are welcome at Holy Communion.

Daily Prayer for Friday, May 15, 2026 (BCP p. 709)

Ephesians 2:10. For we are what God has made us, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand to be our way of life.

"Created in Jesus Christ for good works"
What does that mean? "Good works" are not acts to gain salvation, but a way of life.
Be a good, kind, helpful person, not for self gain, but to live a selfless life, just as Jesus would do. "To be our way of life."

Pysanky Egg Decorating Workshop at Holy Communion!
Join Lydia Roesler at this amazing opportunity to learn the art of Pysanky Egg Decorating. Pysanky eggs are traditional Ukrainian Easter eggs, decorated using a wax-resist method, representing rebirth and spring. Beeswax is applied to eggshells, which are dipped in dyes from light to dark, creating intricate, symbolic, multi-layered designs.
Class dates: Fri, 5/15; Sat, 5/16, & Sun 5/17 at 7pm in Mitchell Hall – attend one, two, or all three classes!
