All are welcome to gather with us.

Our hearts are broken in the wake of the tragedy yesterday. Please pray for the families of the victims and the rest of the community of Uvalde. The staff is seeking avenues where we can minister to include prayer and counseling to our local schools and financial resources being sent to partner churches in the Uvalde area. Tonight from 6:00 to 6:25 pm there will be a gathering in the Peace Auditorium to pray for those broken and crushed by these events.

Great parenting! It’s hard to be calm stay calm… great example right here!
Continue to LOVE and show your precious children it’s ok for things to happen…..
How we handle it is how they learn… these are teachable …

I just witnessed a boy, maybe about 6 or 7, accidentally spill a slushee everywhere in Target. I didn't get a photo but I'm including one of my son and I. I'm talking blue and red goop all over the floor, the table, everywhere. The boy looked up at who I assume was his father, and immediately apologized. Instead of getting angry, his father just said 'Hey, it happens. Let's go get napkins and I can show you how to clean it up.' Then they calmly went to get napkins and then he helped him clean the entire mess. Then, as they were throwing the napkins away, the father said to his son, 'You're going to be a human being for a long time, and you have such a smart brain that it's important you learn how to be more aware of what you're doing. So next time just be sure to pay more attention to your surroundings so accidents like this don't happen. Accidents like these can be prevented, but it's still okay if they happen. As long as you take responsibility for your mistakes, the clean up is a breeze. I know big messes seem overwhelming and you might feel like you can't do it by yourself, but it's always okay to ask for help. There is no problem with asking for help when you need it.'

I have no words. That is parenting done right. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

VBS in the parks update!

VBS in the parks update!

First Family!! God is doing BIG things with VBS in the Park! We are stretching and growing and we need YOU!
Even if you can’t work in a park, there is something for you!
Here are some things you can do:
- work in a park (did you know some “parks” are clubhouse locations - indoors?!)
- outreach: get assigned a location to work alongside park volunteers or on your own team to canvas areas around parks and spread the word/evangelize before or even during VBS!
- media: share posts and info on social media, neighborhood social media pages/platforms/ etc. to reach places we don’t have access to.
- show up early Mon-Thurs to fill water jugs that will go out to the parks
- own a business near a park or know someone who does? Ask if they will post a flyer to help us advertise.
- Live near one of our parks? Sign up for a yard sign to put up in your yard!
- Pray: Get connected with a park director and serve as a prayer partner to pray for them before and during VBS.
- Show Up: show up to family night, (even if you didn’t go to a park) and help us reach out and love on the community that attends.
- Bring people: your kids, the neighbors kids, relatives… invite, invite, invite…. offer a ride… take a friend out for brunch after you drop off the kids and spend some quality time together! You get the picture.

There really is something for everyone and it ALL MATTERS. Register at http://www.vbspro.events/p/vbsinthepark or call the church office today and ask how you can help!
Let’s go on a mission together this summer!!

Thank you Charles and Billie for 34 amazing years! Friendly reminder there is no Sunday school for PK-4- Kinder. They will be celebrating with you as a family.
Nursery will be open for those children who are normally in nursery on Sunday mornings.
God bless!

This Sunday at 9:30 am, join us for one combined Worship Service to celebrate the retirement for Charles Colvin. There will be a basket at the Welcome Center in the Sanctuary foyer for those who would like to drop off a note, card or gift card in appreciation to Charles and his wife Billie for all the ways they have ministered to our church body and the lives they have touched over these 34 years. Let’s show them how much we appreciate them!

After the service, there will be a reception by the Welcome Center for people to visit.
