When someone wrongs you, what's your first instinct? Most of us want to strike back, defend ourselves, or at least give them a piece of our mind. But what if God is calling us to something radically different?

This Sunday we explored 1 Peter 3:8-22 and discovered that loving like Jesus means returning blessing for cursing, good for evil, and peace for persecution. It sounds impossible—and it is, without the Holy Spirit's power. But here's the beautiful truth: when we suffer for doing what's right, God's eyes are on us, His ears are open to our prayers, and no real harm can touch us because He turns everything for our good.

Jesus suffered the ultimate injustice and humiliation, yet God exalted Him to the highest place in heaven. When we walk through suffering with faith, joy, and love, people notice. They'll ask about the hope within us—and that's our moment to point them to Jesus. Your light affliction is working an eternal weight of glory!

Do you know God's purpose for saving YOU? It's not just about receiving blessings—God has called you by name for a specific mission!

Jesus promised that when the Holy Spirit came, we would receive POWER to be His witnesses everywhere we go. The kingdom of God isn't about talk—it's about power! And here's the amazing truth: Jesus said the gates of hell will NOT prevail against His church. We're on the winning team!

This week, take the challenge: Share the gospel or your testimony with just one person. Invite someone to church or life group. Pray for God's power to be His witness. You might think your efforts are small, but to God, they're everything. He sees it all, and nothing misses His attention.

The best defense is a good offense. Are you ready to get on mission with Jesus?
