Update 08/6/2026 To Putnam County Severe Weather Event:

Public update:

As of 5:00 pm August 6, 2026, approximately 50 percent of the power has been restored to the Unionville area.

The City of Unionville has contracted Buford Construction for tree limb disposal only. City residents are asked to place only tree limbs along city street and NOT on city street.

If you are interested in helping with tree limb cleanup efforts, please come to the 4H building between the hours (7am-6pm). Tree limbs will be accepted at the city dump sites from (8am-8pm).

Laundry facilities and a shower trailer have been placed at the campground in Unionville City Park, hours of operation are (9am-9pm).

On Friday August 7, 2026 - Lunch will be provided from (11:30am-1:30pm) and Supper from (4pm-6pm) at the 4H building. Please contact Paul Andrews at (660)292-2274 if you wish to volunteer. Starting Saturday August 8, 2026, until further notice lunch and supper will be provided at the 4H building by the Missouri Southern Baptist Relief. Lunch will be served from (11am-2pm) and supper will be provided from (4pm-7pm). Anyone wanting to help with serving meals please contact Kevin McMenemy at (660)525-2222.

If the public needs assistance or information on shelters and resources please call Putnam County Joint Communication Center at 660-947-4202 or if an emergency, please dial 911. If residents have sustained substantial structural damage to their residence, they are encouraged to reach out to the American Red Cross
at 1-800-RED-CROSS.

Disaster recovery day 2:

UFCC is actively helping clean up and provide meals for the community. We are glad that nobody was hurt in Wednesday's storm. Thank you to everyone who is helping and donating food and funds. We also thank God for His provision!
