Congregational Meeting - Sunday, June 7, 10:45 AM

This brief but important meeting will be held in the sanctuary immediately following our 9:30 AM worship service. Key agenda items include electing two new Council members and electing a Nominating Committee for the year ahead.

While all members of our church family are encouraged to attend, only voting members will elect these candidates. Please plan to attend to ensure a quorum for this vote!

Women’s Bible Study Update

Women's Bible Study will be taking a summer break after finishing a brief Romans study on June 1. Please consider joining us in September for the book of Exodus!

This exciting book tells how Moses led ancient Israel as they struggled to become a nation and to live in covenant with the one true God.

Here are some of the amazing stories:

The Israelites are enslaved and oppressed in Egypt
Moses is born, hidden, and saved by Pharaoh's daughter
Moses sees God in a burning bush
Moses does signs and wonders
Plagues of blood, frogs, gnats, flies, boils, hail, locusts, darkness, death!
The Passover and the parting of the Red Sea
Wandering in the desert
The Ten Commandments are given
The Covenant and the Tabernacle

Study guide: Exodus...Learning to Trust God, a 24-week Inter Varsity Press Life Guide series by author James Reapsome.

Dates: September 14, 2026 – March 2027, Mondays 1:00 to 2:30 PM.

Stay Awhile Sundays
Launching June 14 after the 9:30 AM service

In a busy world, meaningful connection takes time. We are blessed here at St. Michael with a growing congregation. This gives us more need to build ties and spend time getting to know each other.

'Stay Awhile Sundays' is a new monthly expanded coffee hour created for new faces and old friends to connect beyond the pews. Inspired by the way Jesus gathered people around the table, this intentional time after worship invites everyone to relax, share conversation and laughter, build friendships, and grow together in community.

The dates for these are June 14, July 12, and August 2. We need people to volunteer to host by bringing snacks (donuts, cookies, pastries, fruit, bagels, any combination of these) and setting up in the narthex. Two or three families can even work together to make the job easier.

Luther House Summer Picnic
June 27, 2026

This is a fun opportunity to serve your community. We need your help!

The picnic will begin at 11:30 AM for residents. Volunteers are asked to arrive between 9:45 AM and 11:00 AM, depending on the duty you agree to perform.

Residents will provide salads, side dishes, and desserts. St. Michael will provide fried chicken and sandwiches from Giant, as well as drinks (water, iced tea, and lemonade). Volunteers are needed to help with packaging of leftovers for residents, disposing of all trash, and cleaning up the picnic site.
