CONQUER OFFENSE
What if somebody brought you a demon, witchcraft, voodoo, ugly cursed doll? Would you say, “Oh, I’d love to have that. Not only would I love to have that, I’m going to share it with all my friends.” That’s what most people do with an offense. Somebody comes and brings you an offense and instead of saying, “I won’t take that” you say, “I want that, I want to nurse it, feed it, grow it and carry it for the rest of my life.” In Matthew 24 Jesus said the main sign of His soon return is people would be offended.

HOW TO SING THE LORD'S SONG IN A STRANGE LAND
The Children of Israel found themselves in captivity in a strange land in Psalm 137:1-4 and their captives told them to sing one of their songs of Zion. We can identify with that same scenario today as 2 Timothy 3:1-5 comes to us in living color. It is a strange land. However, this is God's land, we are God's people and God's going to do His thing and the devil can't stop it.

THANKFUL IN BROKENNESS
What if I would press my wounds into the wounds of Christ? Could my brokenness be made into a healing abundance for the brokenness of those around me? A kind of communion. Wouldn’t that be good brokenness breaking bad brokenness? When our own brokenness meets the brokenness of the world around us and near to us, don’t we enter into and taste the brokenness and giving of Jesus Christ? I wonder if it’s in shattered places with broken people, we are most near the broken heart of Christ?

RESTING IN OUR REDEMPTION
As children of God, we are grateful for how Christ has “redeemed us from the curse of the law...” (Galatians 3:13). However, do we fully understand the depth of that transaction? The word “redeemed” has four different Greek meanings describing exactly what Christ went through personally to establish our salvation.

HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE BIBLE
James 1:21-25
You will never be a growing Christian without a knowledge of the Word of God. It's not enough even to know Bible facts. You must know the Lord of the Word. You can backslide with a Bible under your arm. You need to understand the Bible. We are told to “receive (dechomai-which means to welcome) the Word.” James gives us four ways we are to “welcome the Word” which will help us to understand the Word of God.

Flawed Appetites and Fatal Attractions

Satan has laid plans to sabotage your life and to bring you down. But he cannot do it without your consent. Sin is an inside job. There is a courtship (temptation) that leads to consent (“I want it”). The consent leads to conception (sin – an unholy union). The conception leads to consummation (“the wages of sin is death”). You must have an inward change – get your heart changed – because Satan is not going to stop tempting you. You must get your WANTER fixed. You must WANT to change or you will keep falling for the temptations.

Everyone of us know we are living in an uptight world. The changes in one lifetime has been absolutely incredible. Yet the deeper issues of life: the sense of anxiety, the restlessness, the demise of relationships; none of those problems have been settle. In fact, they seem to be worse. In Ephesians chapter 6, we are told to “be strong in the Lord,” to “take on the whole armor of God”, and “to stand.” When hell sends everything it can against you, you don’t have to go down, fall, or lose your faith. What is it that is necessary in my life that will allow me to be able to stand?

How many times have circumstances of life caused you to say, “What’s the use? I am doing everything I thought God wanted me to do; expending all my energy and still fill like I am at my wit’s end. I believe I have finally reached my tipping point.” Great news! You are not alone. In 1 Kings 17, Elijah was in the perfect will of God, doing what God had explicitly told him to do, when suddenly, all his resources disappeared. The brook dried up and the ravens no longer brought him his daily food. What do you do when “your brook dries up”?

Don’t Get Stuck In The Wilderness (Pt 2)

Between every promised land and Egypt, there is a wilderness. Between the granting of a vision and its reality is what has been called, “The death of a vision.” This happened to Israel and it has happened to countless churches and Christians. Moses led Israel out, but he could not lead them in. Christ has led us out – out of sin, condemnation, bo***ge, our hopeless situation-but there is still territory to be conquered. There is a further dimension to be explored. It is not enough to be out of Egypt. We must come into the place where we realize God’s purposes for us.

God has a desire to have you experience victory and triumph in your life. He wants you to walk in the Spirit, to overcome all things, to fulfill your destiny and discover your purpose. If that is God’s desire, why don’t we live there? Many Christians are genuinely saved, but they never make the full transition from a life dominated by sin to one led by the Spirit. They live in the barren wilderness between the two realms. The problem is that somewhere between our deliverance from Egypt on our trip to our Canaan land, we got stuck in the wilderness....
