On Sunday, May 3, 2026, St. Paul Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Michael A. Glenn, joined with the family of Rev. Dr. A. L. Brackett and community leaders for the unveiling of a ceremonial street sign honoring a legacy of faith and service.

Wallace Street has now been officially designated as “Rev. Dr. A. L. Brackett Way,” recognizing his lifelong commitment to ministry, community leadership, and spiritual guidance.

Those present for this special occasion included Dr. Larry Murphy, Moderator of the Pacolet River Baptist Association; Rev. J. Archie Calhoun, Director of the Pacolet River Baptist Association Center; and Rev. Malachi Rodgers, former Moderator of the Association, along with members, friends, and well-wishers from across the region.

The commemorative sign is located at the corner of Wallace Street and East Main Street, with an additional marker at Wallace and McBeth Street.

This designation ensures that the legacy of Rev. Dr. A. L. Brackett will continue to inspire generations to come.

The Pacolet River Congress of Christian Education. We would like to Thank all Churches, Pastors, Instructors and Individuals who help make this Annual Session a Success. Each night we had an attendance of 140 individuals, not including Staff. Up and coming classes will be announced at a later date.
