Hello, this is Joe Elmore and I want to share with you what I believe God has laid on my heart for today....
Happy New Month!
I really like the following passage of Scripture in the Book of Micah Chapter 7 and verses 18-19
Micah 7:18 “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.”
Who is like our God?
He pardons our Sins……
It don’t matter what we have done in our lives……God…the living God of the Bible….the Creator of all that is…..when we come to Him for Salvation through Jesus Christ-His Son……the only way we can come to God……He….takes our filthiness of Sin and….Casts…..or (dumps) those sins as verse 19 says above…into the depths of the sea.
What a great analogy of what happens when God cleans us up….from the things we thought we loved so much…..into someone who can be used of God because our affections have now been turned to what HE would have us to do for him.
He….no longer….is angry with the “sin that so easily besets us…” (Hebrews 12:1) because now….due to our acceptance of Jesus as Savior…..God is Delighted….or it makes Him…Happy….to extend His Mercy to us…as it says in the last portion of verse 18 above.
How Fantastic and Awesome that…NOW….as in verse 19…..when we commit sin…..once again….now we are talking about....after....becoming one of His Children….He…..God……will “turn again”…..He will…”have compassion”….in other words….His Love that He has for us in knowing that we are NOT perfect and that the Sin Nature…..which lies Dormant in the Believer….can….and sometimes….will….rise up and cause us to do things that are contrary to the Word of God…..in other words…..Sin……….God…in His goodness and Mercy…..as in verse 18 again…….will...SUBDUE……..or take captive……those Sins that we commit…..once again….when we Confess them to God……and will as verse 19 says the end……do again as He did when we came to Him for Salvation……. “cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.”!!
WHO….is like Our God!!
I want to encourage you today…..DON’T let the Devil tell you that you that Your Sins are too much for God to Forgive.
The Bible says in Luke 1:37 “For with God NOTHING shall be impossible.”
NO Sin is too great for God to Forgive.
Jesus made the way……by giving His Life on the Cross….and Shedding His Blood….to bridge the gap between sinful humanity…….and our Great God…..so that ALL who will surrender their lives to Him….could….be…..Saved.
The Bible says in John 3:16-17
16 For God so loved the world (presents the God kind of love), that He gave His Only Begotten Son (gave Him up to the Cross, for that’s what it took to redeem humanity), that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have Everlasting Life.
17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world (means that the object of Christ’s Mission was to save, but the issue to those who reject Him must and can only be condemnation); but that the world through Him might be saved (Jesus Christ is the only Salvation for the world; there is no other! as well, He is Salvation only through the Cross; consequently, the Cross must ever be the object of our Faith).
Won’t you place Your Trust in Jesus for Salvation today?
