Day 3 - We learned how David had to hide in a cave from Saul and how God is our safe place always. We made campfires for snack, hid in "a cave" and met David, played games in the gym because it was raining outside and made a variety of crafts, some more challenging than others. Dr. Flutterby got tangled up in a net and Miss Chloe tried to get her untangled. Praise God for being our safe place!

Our Belize trio was hard at work on a very hot yesterday. Pastor Mark finished his flooring project and attended the men’s Bible study while Morgan helped with tutoring school kids and the rebuilding of a gate. Traci worked on an ethnography project and then both Traci and Morgan wrangled children so their moms could attend Bible study. The evening was spent touring Placencia where they had dinner.

Rainforest Falls Day 2 is in the books. Today was all about Chloe's favorite animal - the frog! 🤣 We made frogs in crafts, had frog ponds for snack and even played water games outside. We also worshiped by singing and dancing, and learned that God knows everything about us and still loves us! We also found out that a hotdog on a stick probably won't attract a butterfly, but it might attract a hungry Chloe!

Yesterday, besides mingling with our friends in Belize, our Belize team participated in both men’s and women’s Bible study. Pastor
Mark helped with construction and the replacing of flooring in one of the houses.
Morgan went shopping for supplies and watched the preschool graduation practice while Traci helped scribe for an ethnography project. It was an awesome day!

Besides a giant waterfall on the steps in front of the baptismal font, church looked a little different today at the 9:30 service. Our guest pastor was unable to make it due to a medical emergency, so our elders took the lead and made the service happen. Thanks to Jeff for handling liturgy, Jill for reading Scripture, Coy for reading the sermon, Russ for leading prayers and an impromptu children’s message by Chloe. The team organized quickly, made it through and all was good in the house of the Lord! Praise God for His everlasting goodness!
