Galante Funeral Home is proud to congratulate our own newly licensed funeral directess, Dana Marie Testa , on completing the In-Sight Institute Certified Funeral Celebrant Training held June 24–26 at the National Funeral Directors Association Headquarters in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
A Certified Funeral Celebrant is a specially trained individual who has a goal to create meaningful, personalized services that honor a life story in a unique and authentic way. Celebrants work closely with families to craft tributes that reflect an individual's values, passions, relationships, and legacy, whether the service is religious, secular, or a blend of traditions. Our very own Frank Galante is also a Certified Funeral Celebrant, and a graduate of this very same program.
Throughout this training, Dana expanded her knowledge of grief, learned new ways to support families through loss, and developed additional skills in creating personalized ceremonies that celebrate each life as uniquely as it was lived. She learned to honor every single life lived: all the way from infants born sleeping to centenarians who witnessed generations of history unfold.
We are especially proud that Dana was awarded one of only ten scholarships offered to attend this program, recognizing her dedication to serving families with compassion, creativity, and excellence.
A heartfelt thank you to instructors Glenda Stansbury and Kathy Burns for sharing their knowledge, experience, and passion, and to the NFDA for providing such an inspiring educational opportunity.
At Galante Funeral Home, we believe every life has a story worth telling, and we are honored to continue offering families meaningful ways to celebrate and remember those they love. We look forward to the compassion, insight, and creativity Dana continues to bring back home here to New Jersey as she continues serving our community.
