Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery

Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery is one of New Jersey's largest non-sectarian providers of public mausoleum burials.

The land on which Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery lies has historical significance. During the Revolutionary War, the Battle of Connecticut Farms was fought there. Hollywood Cemetery, comprising 25 acres, was founded in 1909 and was originally known as Union Cemetery Association. In 1938, Hollywood Memorial Park, comprising 70 acres, was created. The two properties merged in 1991 to become Ho

llywood Memorial Park and Cemetery. The first memorial park in New Jersey to significantly commit to the mausoleum concept in 1950, Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery offers six mausoleums to serve as magnificent and inspirational places for individuals to memorialize their loved ones. Fully carpeted and climate-controlled, the mausoleums offer a comfortable, dignified setting in which families can quietly meditate or pray while being protected from the weather year-round. The new mausoleum, Chapel of Everlasting Peace, has been completed. Throughout the almost 100-acre property, there are specially designated areas for group burial, including the U.S. Veterans section, the Fukien Shou Shan Chinese section, the Fukien Hoyu Association Chinese section, the Ukrainian War Veterans section and the Muslim section. Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery features many beautiful gardens, monuments and fountains. The meticulously landscaped and manicured grounds provide a peaceful setting, where families and friends visiting loved ones can meditate and pray. A staff of 22 services the almost 800 burials each year with more than 51,000 people interred on its grounds. A maintenance and preservation fund ensures the perpetual care and upkeep of this beautiful property. Hollywood Memorial Park and Cemetery is located in the town of Union, just 15 miles from New York City. Union was voted an All-American City and serves as an ideal home for this premier site.reservation fund established in the 1920s ensures ongoing and appropriate upkeep of the cemetery property and its facilities. The serenity of this property combines many gardens with traditional monument sections. Composed mainly of very gentle sloping hills, the Cemetery’s beauty is enhanced by numerous hardwood trees indigenous to this part of New Jersey. Located on the outskirts of the northern end of town, Alpine Cemetery is approximately 15 minutes from New York City, with easy access to all major highways. The neatly landscaped property, with its trees and ponds, offers a quiet place for reflection and prayer while being just outside the activity of a large city.
