Even though our month on commitment is coming to an end, we pray that kids will remember commitment isn’t a one time thing. It’s something we practice everyday as we learn to live for God. Whether we’re singing songs in church or helping someone in need, the widow’s offering reminds us that we can practice living for God anywhere we are!

Today we headed to Matthew 16:13-20 where kids learned why it’s important to tell others about who God is. Sharing what you believe is one big way you can practice your faith. You might be the first person to tell someone about Jesus! You can also help them understand who He is and how much God loves them.

As we continue to learn about commitment we see an example in Matthew 6:9-13 Jesus gave the disciples tools on how to pray. Jesus’ disciples asked Him, “How do you pray?” Jesus responded with what we call “The Lord’s Prayer.” We can memorize these words and repeat them, and we can also use them as an example to follow as we pray in our own words. If you need help praying this can be the start for you. Use "The Lord's Prayer" as a guide to start conversation with the Lord, then if anything comes to mind pray about it.
