June 1 is the official anniversary date but we changed the sign and shared the good news as soon as the decision was made (that’s why this shows 14 years, but it’s not June yet)

Thomas William “Tommy” Mote, Sr., 71, a resident of Union Springs, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. in Hardaway Cemetery with Rev. David Stewart officiating and Gray Funeral Home directing. A visitation will be held at Gray Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Wiltshire and Irene Mote; siblings: Bill Mote, Donnie Joe Mote, Myrtie Roughton; in-laws: Wayne Roughton, Clint Baggott, BiIl Hopson, Wanda Mote and Terri Hall; grandson: John Thomas Mote.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Mote; children: Mary Beth Mote, Will (Zully) Mote, Joey (Kaitlyn) Mote, Tori (Paul) Bozeman; grandchildren: Kelsey Bozeman, Reid Owen, Camden Sutton, Esme Mote, Zafy Mote and Whitt Mote; siblings: Barbara Hopson, Judy Baggott, Charles (Lynn) Mote, Sandra (Troy) Green and John (Karen) Mote; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Lenita Hall; brother-in-law, Chris Hall; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tim Robinson, Stanley Johnson, Art Hancock, Vann Mote, Craig Phillips. Fred law, Doug Borom and Frank Moorer.
