It’s Member Monday!

Today, we want to spotlight Brother Justin Hubbard. Brother Justin has attended our church all of his life and has served in many capacities. He operates our sound system every Sunday, plays the drums for our choir and is instrumental in numerous behind the scenes prep work for our regular services and special occasions. Brother Justin’s humor and wit are a huge boost for our congregation as well. He can get us laughing uncontrollably in a heartbeat. We greatly love and appreciate Brother Justin and everything he means to UPWC!

It’s Member Monday!

Today, we want to spotlight Brother Wayne Yates. Brother Wayne came to our church in recent years and instantly became a treasured part of the UPWC family. Brother Wayne truly has a servant’s heart, as he often demonstrates his dedication to the Lord and to our church by jumping into any project that needs assistance. Brother Wayne is a versatile handyman and he is a critical helper in our church. But more than that, he has a kind and welcoming personality and can make connections with anyone who visits our church. We greatly love and appreciate Brother Wayne and everything he means to UPWC!

We have a fall revival coming soon at UPWC — Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20 — but Pastor Candy Arwood today reminded us that revival is not merely a series of services. Churches can schedule revivals all they want, but if the people are not prepared for them, they will simply exist as gatherings and not true revival.

That's why Pastor Candy urged our congregation to get ready for revival in our church as a whole by seeking out revival in ourselves individually. And we are ready to declare that revival is HERE at UPWC! As Pastor Candy preached today, we want to exemplify Psalms 85:6 in our lives and find more rejoicing and renewal in the Holy Spirit than ever before.

All are invited to join us as we prepare ourselves for true revival in our lives and at UPWC!

Today, we want to spotlight Sister Teresa Arwood. Sister Teresa is a beloved part of our congregation. She has attended UPWC for many years and, during her time at our church, she has been part of our choir while also serving as an encouragement to everyone in our congregation. Sister Teresa always has a positive story or praise report to share, which helps keep all of us uplifted and upbeat. We greatly love and appreciate Sister Teresa and everything she means to UPWC!
