It’s Member Monday!

Today, we want to spotlight Maggie and Delilah Thompson. These two sisters are our youngest attendees. They have brought such a bright joy to our congregation with their laughter — and their s***k! Both Maggie and Delilah are a delight to have at our church. We pray they will represent the future growth of UPWC and be part of our church family for many years to come. Maggie is a great older sister who shows a lot of love to our pastor and other members, and Delilah has a feisty and spirited personality that keeps all of us on our toes. We greatly love and appreciate Maggie and Delilah and everything they mean to UPWC!

🙌 We have been SEALED by God! 🙌

That was the reminder Reverend Bobby Griffin shared with us today. We were delighted to have Pastor Bobby as a guest minister. He was a huge blessing to Union Point Worship Center with his uplifting words. No matter what happens in life, we are children of God who have been stamped by the Lord (Ephesians 4:30) and are called into His ministry.

We appreciate Pastor Bobby visiting us and preaching this powerful word. Look for a recording of today's sermon to be posted on our page in the coming days!

Every year, Homecoming is a wonderful experience! Enjoy this walk down memory lane from past celebrations.

We're grateful for God's faithfulness through our 82 years. But we're even more excited for what the Lord has in store for the next 82 years.

It’s Member Monday!

Today, we want to spotlight our pastor, Candy Arwood. Pastor Candy began attending UPWC in 1994. A few years later, she became our secretary and served in that capacity until 2007 while also becoming a licensed minister in 1997. Pastor Candy became ordained in 2006, and she was elected pastor in 2007 following the departure of our former pastor, Rev. Johnny Barrett. Pastor Candy has led our church for nearly two full decades with love and compassion for her flock. She has shown time and again that she will be there for our members anytime they need her and help them to the best of her ability. We greatly love and appreciate Pastor Candy and everything she means to UPWC!

This was a special day at Union Point Worship Center.

Today, our church board members made a surprise announcement: After much discussion and prayer, they appointed Reverend Phillip Hubbard as Associate Pastor of UPWC! Brother Phillip earned his ordination earlier this year and we are excited for him to officially begin his pastoral journey.

Brother Phillip will work in conjunction with our church leadership team and assist wherever he is needed. Brother Phillip is pictured with our church leadership board, from left to right: Deacon Wayne Long, Pastor Candy Arwood, Assistant Secretary Michelle Gleaton and Deacon Robert Evans.

We pray for God to continue blessing our leaders and our church!
