Please join us Sunday afternoon, May 17, 2026, at 2:00 pm as we gather to complete late spring tasks in the garden. We will be tackling our mulch mountain to create paths in the garden as well as planting summer vegetables. Bring your own wheelbarrows, tools such as hoes/shovels for moving mulch, and gloves if needed.

If you have extra seeds or started plants, we would love to plant them and share with the community. Eggplant starts; cucumbers, zucchini, yellow squash, carrots, and beets are on our seed wish list. Office hours are Tuesday through Thursday 9-2pm but you can always drop donations off at our left side entrance (if you are facing the building).

Joanne Grossnickle Memorial Scholarship

The Joanne Grossnickle Scholarship Committee is looking for graduates interested in receiving a scholarship. Applicants must have attended Linganore, Walkersville or Francis Scott Key High Schools, or have some relation to the Union Bridge Church of the Brethren. Scholarship candidates must have successfully completed one year of training beyond high school before being considered for a scholarship for additional study or training.

Application materials may be requested via e-mail at [email protected] or by visiting our website at ubcob.org.

Deadline for all materials to be submitted is June 10, 2026.
Applicants should be sure to submit all requested materials.
Presentation of scholarships awarded will be made in July 2026 during a Sunday morning worship service.

Join us on April 18th - 8am-12 for our Plot of Hope planting day as we begin a new season of growing food for our community. Whether you have been a part of this ministry before or are just curious, all are welcome - no experience needed.

Come for a little while or stay the morning - we would love to have you join us. Please bring wheelbarrows, shovels, and gloves (if you need them).

Rain date to be determined.

Goals for our 1st planting date are to spread mulch for our walkways and layout plots. Depending on what time allows, we will be planting potatoes, onions, other spring vegetables.

You are invited to join us for Love Feast tonight at 7pm. This special service includes foot (or hand) washing, a time of reflection, and communion as we remember Christ's example of love and service.

We will also gather for Easter Sunday Service at 10:30am. Come and celebrate the joy of the resurrection. All are welcome to come and share in this meaningful time together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Saturday's Easter Egg Hunt. We were blessed by a great turnout from our community. A special thank you to the Lions Club and Shepherd's Staff for their support and help with putting this event together!

A few upcoming events -

We will be doing a 6-week Lent Bible Study based on the book “He Chose the Nails” by Max Lucado. Bible Study is every Wednesday at 11am starting February 25th and wrapping up April 1st.

Join us here on Saturday, March 28th from 11:00am-1:00pm for our Community Easter Egg Hunt. Check in is at 11am with the egg hunt beginning around 11:30am. Children elementary and younger are invited to enjoy the egg hunt. Come meet the Easter Bunny, make crafts, and enjoy a free lunch. We will have Easter baskets for the children while supplies last.
