I Peter 4:8-10 paraphrased. “Love people well. Offer Hospitality without complaining. Use your gifts to serve others. When you do this, you show God’s grace in many forms”.

That’s what we witnessed this summer with over 100 staff who leaned in each day, embraced the power of every moment and touched a lot of lives. Last night we got to reflect on those many experiences and enjoy a special evening together as many start back to school soon.

Over the last 77 days we have had the honor of hosting 9,643 campers, serving over 100,000 meals and celebrating 672 first time decisions. That’s a lot of life change and every single one of those has a one at a time story.

Thank you Lord for allowing us to be part of this amazing impact.

We are always amazed at how God opens doors and provides "immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine" - this is one of those cases. Country Lake is happy to welcome Chef Jerry Long to the team. Jerry brings more than 30 years of culinary experience including his most recent tenure as the Executive Chef and Catering Director at The Ark Encounter. His passion for the ministry, for people and for exceptional food experiences makes him a perfect fit for Country Lake. He and his wife Rose will be relocating to the area so if you have the opportunity, please make them feel welcomed.

Today, we're feeling incredibly thankful for our amazing culinary and maintenance teams. This morning, our culinary team cooked breakfast using propane and headlamps — true dedication! 🔥✨

A huge shoutout to our maintenance crew for getting the generators up and running at 2:30 am, ensuring our guests are comfortable after last night's storms left us without power for nine hours. ⚡🙏

Grateful for such hardworking, caring people who go above and beyond. Thank you all for making our community safe and welcoming! 💙
