Prayers for Fr. Alphonsus.

URGENT PRAYERS FOR FR ALPHONSUS AFINA

Dear Parishioners,

I ask for your urgent prayers for Fr. Alphonsus Afina. In the past few days, Fr. Alphonsus was captured by Boko Haram as he was serving the church in the Diocese of Maiduguri. As many of you know, Fr. Alphonsus served in our diocese for six and half years and returned to Nigeria in April 2024. Pray for his freedom from captivity and for his physical and spiritual strength. Tomorrow at 12:10 pm, I will be offering a special Mass at the Cathedral for Fr. Alphonsus. All are welcome.

In Christ,

+Steve
