Tonight at Caravan, Miss Lisa taught us about Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, when He rode in on a humble donkey instead of a fancy war horse.

Our Power Up word of the week was “humble.” We learned that real strength isn’t about showing off, but about having a humble heart and serving others, just like Jesus did.

To help us remember, we moved our bodies too! We did donkey kicks, high knees to march into Jerusalem, and palm branch swings to celebrate and praise!

Power Up! Week 1

Tonight we kicked off our brand-new Caravan unit: Power Up! Each week we’ll be moving, grooving, and learning how to plug in to God!

Miss Violet Voltage (Miss Lisa) brought the energy as she taught about the story of the woman at the well, reminding us that Jesus offers living water to all who believe. Then Miss Elly Bolt helped the kids “power up” with some fun workouts that tied right into the story!

We can’t wait to see how God moves in our Caravan kids this month as they learn to stay charged up through His power!

Last night we wrapped up our “Hands Like Jesus” series. Miss. Lisa shared a powerful lesson about how Jesus’ hands were nailed to the cross, for us and for our sins.
It was such a meaningful reminder of His great love and sacrifice, and how we can use our own hands to serve and love others like Jesus did.

Parent Conversation Starter:
Ask your child, “What are some ways we can use our hands to show love like Jesus?”
(You might be surprised by their sweet answers, helping a friend, sharing toys, or giving hugs!)

Tonight at Caravan, Miss Michele taught us about the parable of the rich man who gave his servants different amounts of money before leaving on a journey. When he returned, some had used what they were given wisely, and one had hidden his away.

We talked about how God gives each of us special gifts and talents, and He wants us to use them to serve Him and others.

As we continue learning how to have Hands Like Jesus, we’re reminded that our hands are meant to do good, help others, and use our gifts to make a difference.

With the snowy weather and school closures, we’ll be canceling Caravan this week to keep everyone safe and warm at home.
We’ll miss seeing all your smiling faces but look forward to being together again next week!

Tonight at Caravan, Miss Lisa shared the story of The Good Samaritan. A reminder that having hands like Jesus means helping others, even when it’s not easy or convenient.

We learned that kindness, compassion, and action go hand in hand when we follow Jesus’ example. 🧤
