As we reach the joy of Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ—our risen Savior who conquered sin, death, and the grave. What once seemed like defeat has become the greatest victory in history.

“He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,” — Luke 24:6 (KJV)

As you celebrate today, take a moment to reflect on what the resurrection means for your life. Because He lives, we have hope, new life, and victory. Ask yourself—am I living in the power of the risen Christ each day?

We’d love for you to join us at Cornerstone Baptist Church as we celebrate our risen Savior together this Easter Sunday.

As we continue through Holy Week, we come to the quiet stillness of Saturday—a day of waiting, grief, and uncertainty. Jesus’ body lay in the tomb, and for His followers, hope seemed lost. Yet even in the silence, God was still at work.

“And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid.” — Luke 23:53 (KJV)

As you go through your day today, reflect on the seasons of waiting in your own life. When God feels silent, will you still trust Him? Remember—even in the stillness, He is working, and Sunday is coming.

As we continue through Holy Week, we pause on Good Friday to remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. On this day, our Savior willingly endured the cross, suffering and dying in our place so that we might be redeemed.

“And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.” — Luke 23:33–34 (KJV)

As you go through your day today, take a moment to reflect on the weight of the cross. Consider the price that was paid for your sin, and ask yourself—does my life reflect gratitude for what Christ has done for me?

As we journey through Holy Week in preparation for Easter, we’ll be sharing reflections to remind us of the significance of each day leading to the cross. Today, we remember Maundy Thursday—the night of the Last Supper when Jesus broke bread with His disciples and gave a powerful example of humility, love, and service.

“And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.” (Luke 22:19 KJV)

As you sit down for supper with your family tonight, take a moment to reflect on Christ’s sacrifice. Consider how you can show His love through humility and service to those around you.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate our risen Savior and observe Easter Communion together.

Isa 52:6-7 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
Through the Name of Him (Jesus) comes good news, good tidings, Peace and contentment.
So much bad news in our world today but our God today brings “Good News” Christ is the greatest “good tidings” He has brought the world “salvation” He is the most distinguished Publisher of peace, He never had to stammer or stutter about Hs qualifications. He bore our sins and made the supreme sacrifice that we might have eternal Life, that we might be set free from sin.
He affirmed by His words, He spoke and the worlds were formed, He spoke and the wonders of His word stilled a storm, He spoke and His word supplied bread to multitudes. He spoke and Lazarus came out of the grave,
John 7:46 The officers answered, Never man spake like this man.
He Has brought good tidings, Good News, He has brought the good news of salvation.
Jesus never needed to retract a single statement or modify the meanings of what He said, He came from heaven with “good tidings” The Father revealed to Him these “good tidings” and Jesus said, “Only the words that My Father hath given Me do I speak”. So, His words “The Good News” were made in heaven and were royal words.
His words of “Good News” tower over every orator, every speaker that has ever lived or will ever live, and His words exhibited that He was the center and substance of The Message
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He Himself expressed the glory of God and the truth of the “good news”
The Good News is the gospel, The Death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Isa said “One day soon they will know that it is The Lord that brings “The good tidings”
One day soon could be our departure by death or the rapture of the Church.
I hope you have received the good news of The Gospel, that good news that says “Whosoever shall call upon the name of The Lord shall be saved”
Song “One Day” One day the trumpet will sound for Hs coming , One day the skies with His glory will shine: Wonderful day , my beloved ones bringing! Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine! Living He loved , dying He saved me, Buried He carried my sins far away: Rising He justified, freely forever: One day He’s coming – O glorious day!

Devotion March 17th
Ps 33:4-6 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are done in truth. He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

The world today has lost its anchor; it has abandoned the standards of morality taught in the Ten Commandments and as a result the people are bewildered. But our anchor holds by faith in God’s word.
We can rejoice and praise our Creator God in all things

God’s word is right, sure and certain and as we look around, we see that our world is full of “the goodness of The Lord”
The heavens were made; the stars and all we see came from our Great God; we can’t rely upon our feelings many times so we must rely upon His Word.
“We walk by faith and not by sight”
Judaism and Christianity are both singing religions, Atheism is song less, it has nothing to sing about. The funeral notice of Robert Ingersoll the noted agnostic stated “There will be no singing “

All heaven is vibrant with praise and singing
Rev 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
Ps 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
Our thoughts about God and His marvelous works should always bring a New Song to our hearts. Even during those bad days of our lives. Let’s Learn to Praise Him. Stay in His Word, because it is right.
Song “He keeps me singing”
There’s within my heart a melody – Jesus whispers sweet and low, fear not I am with thee – peace be still, In all life’s ebb and flow. Jesus. Jesus, Jesus – Sweetest name I know, fills my every longing, keeps me singing as I go.
We can sing the new Song every day, because His Mercy is new each day.
