From the Building Committee:

After many years of prayer and patience, our new church is complete, and we are finally moving from our beloved current church to our new home at:

14927 CR 1151
Tyler, TX 75704

For those who have been with us through this journey, you know this has not been our first try. This building project is our third or fifth attempt, and there were seasons when many of us wondered if it would ever come to pass. By God's grace, and through the extraordinary generosity and prayers of this parish, it has.

We also want to offer thanks to everyone who served on the building committee over these past several years, as well as the members of the fundraising committee. Their tireless work, patience through delays, and steadiness made this moment possible. We are deeply grateful for their service to our parish.

We know that our old church holds many fond memories for so many of us: baptisms, weddings, funerals, first Communions, Confirmations, potlucks, and countless ordinary Sunday Masses.

We also recognize that in recent years, the difficulties of our old space, limited parking, not enough seats, etc. led some families to step away from regular attendance at our parish. If you know a family who stopped coming for these reasons, we ask you to personally reach out and invite them back. Let them know there is room for them now, and that they are missed. Send them the address and this info:

Our first Masses in the new church will be this Sunday, July 19:
8:00 am
11:00 am (Sung Mass)
2:00 pm

Help us welcome back any family or friend who has been away.

Thank you to the Canons for providing us with an enriching week of talks at this year's Lenten Parish Mission! There are still 3 days left - please come if you are able and don't forget they are also offering confession each day.

Many of the talks have been recorded and more will be uploaded throughout the week, please check back and listen as you are able.

Progress being made on the new confessionals

SJTW Building update
Spray foam insulation is scheduled to go in this week. Interior dry walling should begin within the next couple of weeks! On the exterior, brick work continues but should be almost complete by the end of the week. Exterior doors for the front have been chosen and ordered but will take a few weeks to come in.

From the Pastor's Desk;
Our construction project is ahead of schedule! The weather has cooperated (at least, up until this weekend!), and our contractor estimates that construction will be finishing up in late May or early June, leaving us time to furnish and decorate the interior (The pews are scheduled to arrive in mid June).

Of course, all of this progress means that we are spending money at an alarming rate, and the Building Fund is being depleted quickly; We may need to postpone some of the things that we hoped to get done (like a rectory), and might even need to get a loan from the diocese to get things over the finish line.

You have all been more than generous is contributing to the project, and I hate to ask for more, but it's getting to be "crunch time"; any contribution you can give will be greatly appreciated... and please keep the prayers coming!
