Our parish is a Roman Catholic community of almost 4,000 families located in Tyler, Texas. The parish features two churches, the Cathedral itself (423. Peter & Paul (1435 ESE Loop 323). The parish is dedicated to and named for the Blessed Virgin Mary under the title of Immaculate Conception. The common and constant teachi

ng of the Christians through all ages, formally declared by Pope Pius IX, is that “…the most Blessed Virgin Mary, in the first instance of her conception, by a singular grace and privilege granted by Almighty God, in view of the merits of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the human race, was preserved free from all stain of original sin".

Pope Leo XIV has appointed Very Rev. John J. Gomez, JCL, Vicar General of the Diocese of Tyler, as the second bishop of the Diocese of Laredo!
