God, the Father, saw the anguish of God the Son's soul, as He suffered for the sins of many and determined it was enough. Now many, will enjoy the salvation of God and not the wrath of God.
That's good news to many.
Isaiah 53:11–12 (NASB95)
11 As a result of the anguish of His soul,
He will see it and be satisfied;
By His knowledge the Righteous One,
My Servant, will justify the many,
As He will bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore, I will allot Him a portion with the great,
And He will divide the b***y with the strong;
Because He poured out Himself to death,
And was numbered with the transgressors;
Yet He Himself bore the sin of many,
And interceded for the transgressors.
[the gospel -- "good news"] ... which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.
Philippians 1:27b-28 (NASB95)
