Hey guys! See this new info from Pastor David! COVID and masks are not eternal! Lead the way! - Blake Arrington
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PASTOR DAVID:
WE ARE ADJUSTING our COVID safety protocols starting this Sunday. Since we regathered last June, we have said that masks are “recommended.” Until further notice, we are announcing that for those who attend in person, masks are now REQUIRED. This includes wearing masks inside in the hallways, foyers, restrooms, and while walking to your seat in the Worship Center and your Connect Group. If you prefer to remove your mask once you reach your seat, that is optional.
THIS DECISION WAS MADE in light of the sharp rise in COVID cases in our community and the highest number of hospitalized cases in Tyler to date. If you don’t have a mask, we will be happy to provide you with a free mask when you enter. Our goal is to serve and impact our community in a Christlike way. Demonstrating care in this fashion, and at this time, enables us to do that more effectively.
IF YOU ARE SOMEONE who doesn’t see the need to wear a mask, I appeal to you personally to humble yourself and make accommodation to those in our church who are concerned about being exposed to the virus. Wearing a mask isn’t a POLITICAL statement; it is a SPIRITUAL ACT of love and kindness. The devil would love to create factions and divisions in our church over this minor issue (the maskers vs. the anti-maskers). But as your Pastor, I am committed to guarding the precious UNITY of our church. I believe this verse applies to this issue:
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit,
but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.”
(Philippians 2:3-4)
