Journey College Ministry Reunion

Journey College Ministry Reunion Were you a part of Journey College Ministry of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas from 2013-2021? We had some great times and made some great memories.

Missionaries were sent, disciples were made and lifetime friendships are still rolling! Journey College Ministry existed to spread the fame of Jesus Christ to a college-age generation by living passionate lives of faith, worship, truth, and love. JCM transitioned in 2020 to GABC_College. We met in the 110 Student Building, 3rd Floor of the Worship Center, the Crosswalk 1st floor, the AEB, the Chapel, the Basement of the Chapel. Every building of the church campus.

Hey Journey people from WAY BACK!! Would you help me get the word out? We are donating to help a new non-profit provide a one-night "camp" for College students to meet other Christian friends and start the year off with a plan to get plugged Into a local Church! Would you help share and donate?

College is hard, and coming to college without positive Christian friends is the worst! Let's start our kids off right and gt them plugged into a Christian community before the first day of school! I believe ETX Connection is a great step in helping Christian students maintainand grow their fai...

Hey guys! See this new info from Pastor David! COVID and masks are not eternal! Lead the way! - Blake Arrington

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM PASTOR DAVID:
WE ARE ADJUSTING our COVID safety protocols starting this Sunday. Since we regathered last June, we have said that masks are “recommended.” Until further notice, we are announcing that for those who attend in person, masks are now REQUIRED. This includes wearing masks inside in the hallways, foyers, restrooms, and while walking to your seat in the Worship Center and your Connect Group. If you prefer to remove your mask once you reach your seat, that is optional.

THIS DECISION WAS MADE in light of the sharp rise in COVID cases in our community and the highest number of hospitalized cases in Tyler to date. If you don’t have a mask, we will be happy to provide you with a free mask when you enter. Our goal is to serve and impact our community in a Christlike way. Demonstrating care in this fashion, and at this time, enables us to do that more effectively.

IF YOU ARE SOMEONE who doesn’t see the need to wear a mask, I appeal to you personally to humble yourself and make accommodation to those in our church who are concerned about being exposed to the virus. Wearing a mask isn’t a POLITICAL statement; it is a SPIRITUAL ACT of love and kindness. The devil would love to create factions and divisions in our church over this minor issue (the maskers vs. the anti-maskers). But as your Pastor, I am committed to guarding the precious UNITY of our church. I believe this verse applies to this issue:
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit,
but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.”
(Philippians 2:3-4)

This past weekend went by SO FAST! It was so amazing seeing God use our church to love on the Lake Charles, LA hurricane victims! No complaining, never give up, servants don’t have rights! Our people worked hard, and we are so thankful for for doing such a great job with coordination and equipping us to get it done!
