Ephesians 2:8-10🙏🏼♥️

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift, not from works, so that no one can boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.

Lord, You were faithful then, You will be faithful now, and looking back at Your track record gives me confidence for what I'm facing today.

Then was different circumstances, different challenges, different season, but the same faithful God who carried me through that is the God I'm trusting with this.

Teach me to let my history with You inform my faith today, to remember specific times You came through and let those memories strengthen my trust now.

Your faithfulness isn't selective or inconsistent, what You were then is what You are now, unchanging in character, constant in love, reliable in every season.

Help me catalog Your past faithfulness when present doubts arise, to build my case for trust on evidence of Your proven track record, not just on hope.

Remind me that every testimony of Your past faithfulness is a promise for my present situation, that the God who was faithful then hasn't changed.

Give me confidence that comes from experience, from having watched You show up before, from knowing that what You've done You'll do again because You're the same yesterday, today, forever.

Let me face today declaring He was faithful then, He will be faithful now, standing on proven ground, trusting tested truth, believing the same God shows up again.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

Ephesians 1:16-18🙏🏼♥️

I never stop giving thanks for you as I remember you in my prayers.
I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, would give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you may know what is the hope of his calling, what is the wealth of his glorious inheritance in the saints..

Lord, You are the one thing that I need, the only essential, the single necessity when everything else is optional or secondary.

I accumulate so many things thinking they're needs, chasing security, comfort, success, approval, but none of them are the one thing that actually matters.

Teach me to distinguish between what I want and what I truly need, to recognize that You alone satisfy the deepest hunger, the core longing, the fundamental requirement of my soul.

The one thing means You're not one item on a list of needs but the singular necessity, that everything else is addition or distraction from the main thing.

Help me simplify my life around this truth, to stop treating You as one need among many and start recognizing You're the need that, when met, makes everything else fall into proper perspective.

Remind me that Martha was worried about many things but Mary chose the one thing needed, sitting at Your feet, prioritizing Your presence above all the urgent demands.

Give me clarity to see what's truly essential, courage to let go of what isn't, and wisdom to organize my life around the one thing that I actually need.

Let me live today focused on the one thing, knowing that Lord, You are the one thing that I need, and having You, I have everything that truly matters.

In Jesus' name,

Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Blessed are those who weep now, because you will laugh.” (Luke 6: 21 CSB)

Laughter WILL come. It will be part of your story.

Our Heavenly Father has promised.

Maybe you need to be reminded of that today because it has been a long time since you felt like laughing.

Maybe all you feel is sadness in your current season.

But God has good things planned.

He is always surprising us by doing something new.

Chances are it will come in unexpected and unplanned ways.

Psalms 126:5-6 (ESV) also reminds us not to give up in the middle of the journey to all God has planned for us. “Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.”

Keep showing up. Keep sowing. Keep planting. Keep watering. Keep expecting.

There is always a beginning where the journey is easy and the ending full of rejoicing. It is good to remind ourselves that there is that long stretch of walking through where waiting gets hard and seems endless.

Wherever you are in the process know your day of rejoicing is coming!

Lift up your head today and focus on what He has promised. Let is give us hope for the days ahead.

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” Proverbs 31:25 (NIV)

See you in the field,
Susan
