Lord, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, not in my own power but through Your strength working in and through me when mine runs out.

This isn’t a promise I can do anything I want but that I can do everything You call me to, that Your strength is sufficient for whatever You’re asking of me.

Teach me to lean on Christ’s strength instead of my own, to stop relying on my limited capacity and start drawing on His unlimited power available to me.

I face things that feel beyond my ability, tasks too big, challenges too hard, situations too complex, but Christ’s strength makes up the difference between what I can do and what needs doing.

Help me remember the key phrase is “through Christ,” that apart from Him I can do nothing but with Him empowering me, nothing is impossible.

Remind me that Paul wrote this from prison, proving Christ’s strength sustains us not just in success but in suffering, not just in victory but in hardship and limitation.

Give me confidence to attempt what You’re calling me to even when I feel inadequate, knowing Christ’s strength in me is greater than the challenge before me.

Let me live today with assurance that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, capable not because of who I am but because of who empowers me.

In Jesus’ name,

Amen.

1 John 1:5-7
🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻

This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in him.
If we say, “We have fellowship with him,” and yet we walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth.
If we walk in the light as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

Live in the light that lives in you.....
Jesus is that light !!

Thank You for the gift of a fresh beginning and for Your faithfulness that never fails. Help me leave yesterday's regrets behind and walk forward with renewed hope. Fill my heart with expectancy for what You will do today. Let me greet this new day with gratitude, courage, and trust in Your unfailing love.

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning." – Lamentations 3:22-23

Reflection Prompt:
What regret, disappointment, or worry from yesterday do you need to leave behind so you can fully embrace the new mercies God has given you today?

Luke 11:33-35

No one lights a lamp and puts it in the cellar or under a basket, but on a lampstand, so that those who come in may see its light.
Your eye is the lamp of the body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is also full of light.
Take care, then, that the light in you is not darkness.

Turn My Worry Into Worship

(Published February 4th 2026)

I don't think I've ever known more people struggling with anxiety than I do right now.

It's not just a few people, it's nearly everyone. The worries vary, but the weight feels universal. We're all carrying concerns we don't know how to put down.

Worry and worship can't occupy the same space in my mind.

When I'm truly worshiping, focusing on who God is, declaring His character, remembering His faithfulness, there's no room left for worry. They're incompatible. One pushes the other out.

This isn't about pretending problems don't exist or forcing fake positivity. It's about redirecting the energy. Instead of letting my mind spin with "what if," I counter it with truth about God.

What if this doesn't work out? God is faithful.

What if I can't handle it? God is my strength.

What if everything falls apart? God holds all things together.

Turning worry into worship is active, not passive. When anxiety rises, I have to catch it and redirect it.

Sometimes that means literally speaking out loud: "God, You are bigger than this. You are faithful. You are in control." Sometimes it means putting on worship music. Sometimes it means opening Scripture and reading promises until my perspective shifts.

Worship changes what I'm looking at. Instead of staring at the problem, I'm looking at the Problem-solver.

Instead of being consumed by the circumstance, I'm remembering the God who's bigger than any circumstance.

P.S. I write these devotionals every weekday and email them out along with a prayer and journaling prompts. You can sign up to receive them free through the link in the comments.

Matthew 5:14-16
❤️🙏🏻❤️

You are the light of the world. A city situated on a hill cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, but rather on a lampstand, and it gives light for all who are in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven.

So often at night, those pesky lies wake up and shake their tormenting bones in my ears. Lies that say I have made too many mistakes. I got into this hole, I have to crawl out alone. I don’t deserve the rescue. But the Spirit has been telling me through study and just personal dialogue that that is impossible. That is not the character of my Father. The lengths I would go to rescue my children, no matter what they have done, is monumental. How much more the heart of God? It may take many reminders to my trauma-scarred heart that I am worth helping, but truth always trumps a lie. If this is your experience as well, keep speaking this truth over your thoughts. God doesn’t grumpily look down and sigh, “She messed up again! I’m so tired of helping her out!” He runs to my rescue like His hand extended to Peter. Don’t let shame or low self esteem keep you drowning. Look up! He longs to come to you!! You are not broken. You are His treasure!
Let’s rest in this tonight. Much love, my friends. 🙏❤️

Roman’s 12:9-10,12
🙏🏻♥️

Let love be without hypocrisy.
Detest evil; cling to what is good.
Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters.
Take the lead in honoring one another.
Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer.
