𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜𝘁 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹

Some days the noise comes from the outside world. Other days it comes from much closer. People you trusted walking away. Your character questioned. Your reputation under attack.

There are days I feel it too. And Psalm 4 reminds me where to turn.

David wrote 𝗣𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗺 𝟰 while his own people were turning against him. His reputation was under attack. His character was being questioned. Those closest to him were walking away. He had every reason to lie awake consumed by what others were saying and doing. And yet it ends with these words from 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝟴.

"𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙡𝙖𝙮 𝙢𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪 𝙇𝙊𝙍𝘿 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙙𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮."

That word 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 in Hebrew is 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵. It means 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵. Not the absence of danger. The presence of God in the middle of it.

David wasn't sleeping because the threat was gone. He was sleeping because 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝗺.

The same God is watching over you.

"... 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂 𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗗 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆."

Only. Not partly. Not alongside everything else. Only Him.

On the days the noise gets loud. On the days uncertainty feels heavy.

On the days the world feels like too much. 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵 is available to you
right now.

On the days it gets personal. On the days the pain comes from people not circumstances. 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗰𝗵 is still available to you right now.

Lay down the noise tonight for God is always watching over you when you sleep.

First off HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and your family!

Church family,

As we step into a new year together, I want to share something I’m deeply excited about. Beginning this Sunday, we’re launching a year‑long journey through the entire story of Scripture — from Genesis to Revelation. This will be our preaching focus for 2026, and I believe it will be one of the most spiritually shaping seasons our church has ever experienced.

We’re calling it “One Story • One Faith • One Year.”

Each week, we’ll walk through a key moment in the biblical narrative. Rather than treating the Bible as 66 disconnected books, we’ll explore it as one unified story — God’s story — and discover how our lives fit within it. My hope is that this journey helps us see Scripture with fresh eyes, deepens our love for God’s Word, and forms us more fully into the likeness of Christ.

This will be a church‑wide effort. My prayer is that this shared rhythm strengthens our unity and helps us grow together as a family.

I’ve attached a word document that outlines the four major movements of the biblical story we’ll be exploring. Take a moment to look it over — it will give you a sense of where we’re headed and how each part of Scripture connects to the whole.

Church, I’m grateful to walk this road with you. Let’s open our hearts, open our Bibles, and let God’s story shape us in the year ahead.

2025 Bible Journey | One Story • One Faith • One Year

A YearLong Preaching Plan Through the Entire Bible
Quarter 1 — Foundations of Faith (Genesis → 1 Kings)

Theme: God Forms a People
From creation to the rise of Israel’s kings, we explore how God reveals His character, His promises, and His purpose. This quarter lays the groundwork for understanding the entire biblical story — who God is, who we are, and why the world needs redemption.
Focus Areas:
• Creation & Covenant
• Exodus & Redemption
• Law & Holiness
• Conquest & Judges
• Kings & Kingdom
Quarter 2 — Kings and Prophets (Chronicles → Prophets)

Theme: God Confronts and Calls His People Back
This quarter walks through Israel’s rise and fall, the wisdom writings, and the prophetic voices calling God’s people to repentance, justice, and hope. We see God’s holiness, His patience, and His relentless mercy.
Focus Areas:
• Rise & Fall of the Kingdom
• Wisdom for Everyday Life
• Prophetic Warnings
• Hope in Exile
• The Twelve Prophets
Quarter 3 — Christ Revealed (The Gospels)

Theme: God Dwells With Us
Everything in Scripture points to Jesus — and here we meet Him facetoface. We walk through His birth, teachings, miracles, death, resurrection, and commission. This is the heart of the year.


Focus Areas:
• The Arrival of the King
• Teachings of the Kingdom
• Miracles & Ministry
• The Cross
• The Resurrection & Mission
Quarter 4 — Sent to Live and Love (Acts → Revelation)

Theme: God Sends His People Into the World
Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the church carries the gospel to the world. We explore the life of the early church, the letters that shape Christian living, and the hope of Christ’s return and the new creation.
Focus Areas:
• The Spirit ignites a movement
• Everyday faith in action
• Letters that shape how we live
• Perseverance in trials
• Hope for the new creation
How You Can Participate Each Week
Each Sunday will include:
• A sermon passage
• A memory verse
• A reflection or practice to live out the message
This journey is designed to help every believer — from kids to seniors — see the Bible as one unified story pointing to Jesus.
Our Prayer for the Year
Our prayer is that as we journey from Genesis to Revelation, God would open our eyes to see the beauty of His story and our place within it. May the Holy Spirit shape us into a people who love Scripture, who listen for God’s voice, and who respond with obedience and joy.
We ask that this year would deepen our unity as a church family — singles, couples, kids, seniors — all walking the same path, hearing the same Word, and growing in the same grace.
