Today was filled with joy as we smiled and celebrated with the Central Texas Region Missionary during their annual brunch. What a beautiful time of fellowship, unity, and shared purpose!

We were especially blessed by the powerful word delivered by our very own Rev. Christopher Bennett—truly a message that inspired, uplifted, and reminded us of God’s goodness.

Smiles were everywhere, spirits were high, and hearts were full.

Happy Easter! 🌅✨

This year, we celebrate a little differently… because we remember it was the sistas who showed up at the tomb—grieving, carrying spices, expecting death—but walked into revelation. They remind us that even when we don’t feel it, even when we don’t expect it, even when the world doesn’t look like it… God is always up to something.

The tomb is empty—but the message is full. Full of hope, full of power, full of purpose. Because He didn’t just get up… He still lives. Still working. Still healing. Still interceding. Still showing up in hospital rooms, in courtrooms, in broken places, and in heavy hearts. And if He’s still working, then we can’t just celebrate—we’ve got to participate.

So this Easter, we honor the witness of those women and carry the good news forward:
The One who stood with the oppressed—got up.
The One who loved without condition—got up.
And because He got up… we get up too.

Silent Saturday.

The day between promise and proof.
The day where heaven feels quiet… and earth feels heavy.

As James H. Cone reminds us in The Cross and the Lynching Tree, there have always been Saturdays in history—moments where suffering seems unanswered, where injustice appears unchecked, and where hope feels buried.

Silent Saturdays look like:
– Prayers that haven’t been answered yet
– Grief that lingers longer than expected
– Systems that still feel broken
– Violence, division, and uncertainty in our world
– Personal battles we don’t always talk about

It’s the tension of believing the Divine is still working… even when we don’t see it.

Jesus was in the grave.
The disciples were in despair.
The world was in silence.

But Sunday was coming.

If you’re in a “Silent Saturday” season—hold on.
The Holy One is not absent. They are at work, even in the silence.

Join us tomorrow as we celebrate the hope that breaks through every dark Saturday.
