Wamic Community Church Sunday Service begins at 10:30

WHAT WE BELIEVE
God created the heavens and the earth. (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Wamic Community Church is a light on a hill to bring people to Jesus Christ and membership in His family; helping them to grow in knowledge, love, and unity to maturity in order to equip them for their ministry in the church and their mission in the world (Genesis 1:1)
Jesus Christ, God’s Son, died for our sins and rose from the dead to live forever. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
The Bible is the inspire

d Word of God and is the guide for our faith. (Psalms 119:102; 2 Timothy 3:16)
All are in need of salvation, having sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
Forgiveness of sins and the promise of Eternal Life are available to all who turn to Christ as Lord and Savior. (John 3:16)
Those who trust in Christ should turn away from sin, confess their faith and be baptized. (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38)
The Church is the Body of Christ on earth and exists to save the lost and to help and train the saved for service to God. (Ephesians 4:1-16)
We are commanded to love God first and our neighbor as God has loved us. (Matthew 22:37-39; John 15:12)
Jesus Christ is reigning now as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He will one day return for those who have accepted Him as Lord and Savior.

Since many have been asking if we will be having church this Sunday I wanted to give an update. After looking into things we believe it’s best to hold off for now. Hopefully next Sunday. Having church in a level 3 wild fire area is not legal and we could get in trouble with our insurance company. So while I know many have stayed and want to see their church family including me, please be patient. We will have service again as soon as we can.

Maupin, Tygh Valley and Dufur are all great places to worship close by outside of the higher evacuation areas.

Love you all and praying we will all be back worshipping together next Sunday.

We as the church board have decided to replace the theater seating with very comfortable Burgundy padded church chairs that should last us many years. And, we have recently been very blessed with over a hundred nice padded church chairs from a couple other churches for less than 10% of the cost of new ones.

Some may question why we decided to do this and we understand the old chairs are really cool, but we have had multiple people complain about their comfort and people leaving mid service saying the chairs are causing back or hip pain. We also believe that many of them just are in need of repair and are no longer safe for our congregation.

All that to say, Saturday morning at 9 AM we will be replacing chairs in the sanctuary at the church. We plan to bring our trailer and take the old theater style chairs out and store them in the shop at Pansy Field. They are screwed down so we will need drills or smaller impact screwdrivers to remove them. We hope to get it all done, but there is 140 theater style chairs to take out so we will get as many as possible done before Noon. We know it will be hot so we will stop around noon.

The old theater style chairs are antique and if any current or former members would like to have a few they are welcome to them for free. The rest will be sold.
