Good Tuesday morning everyone, and what a beautiful summer day we have to enjoy today! Spring has struggled this year, but these last two days have been a lot more like summer than spring...so get outdoors and enjoy it (except for the mosquitoes).
For those of you who weren't able to attend church Sunday, I need to share some bittersweet news we received; Mike & Donna Deneut are moving away from our Sunrise Side to be closer to their family. They're going to be really close, since their backyards will be backing up to each other. We will miss them terribly, but it's wonderful news for them and their family.
Also, for those asking how our daughter Wendy is doing; she was able to attend church with us Sunday! Thank you, Lord! She still has a lot of physical therapy ahead, and some rough days, too...but what a wonderful answer to prayer it was to pick her up on our way to church! Thank you for your prayers...and keep them coming...
So, tomorrow is Wednesday and we will gather at 6:00 for our Bible study and prayer meeting. We are studying in the third chapter from the Book of II Timothy, so spend time with this chapter and come ready to share the insights the Spirit lays on your heart with your church family. Every Wednesday we grow closer to God and closer to each other thru our time together, and we would love to have you join us.
Sunday the 31st will be the last day of May, and we will gather at 10:00 for Sunday School. We are just starting chapter twenty-five from the Book of Matthew, so read this chapter, too. We have such a wonderful group of people each week, and it would be so nice if you could join us, too.
Then at 11:00, we will assemble for our Sunday worship service. I've been sitting at my computer the last two days writing my sermon, and it's been flowing so easily. That's because this message came to me while Wendy was in the hospital, and it's been rolling around in my heart ever since. Our text comes from Matthew 26: 36-44, and the title for this sermon is; "A Rock and A Hard Place."
If you've ever went thru a hard time, or you're going thru one right now; this message is for you. And if you know someone who is passing thru the furnace of suffering--please invite them. I needed this message, and God sent it to me...and Sunday I am going to share it with all of you.
Have a blessed week. I so hope to see you tomorrow...and again on Sunday. Sunday's are my favorite...love you all, Pastor Michael
