Did you know???
The Nativity scene was built over 700 years ago in France by a man named Frances. It was built for villagers who couldn't read the story of Mary and Joseph. Frances also came up with Christmas carols. The first gifts were from the wise men. The candy cane represents the Shepherd's staff, the J is for Jesus, the white represents his purity and the red is the blood he shed for us. The wreath symbolizes the ring of no beginning or end, Eternal, just like God. The Christmas tree symbolizes the death and resurrection and the lights represent HE is the light of the world. These symbols were meant to remind Christians of Jesus and how much he loves us. Merry Christmas!
