✨ Joy is a Choice ✨

In a world that often feels heavy with worry, uncertainty, and division, joy is more than a feeling—it’s an act of faith.

As Nadia Bolz-Weber reminds us:

"Joy is choosing to believe that love is still stronger than fear."

Choosing joy doesn’t mean ignoring life’s challenges. It means trusting that kindness can overcome cruelty, hope can outlast despair, and love can still change lives and communities.

Today, may we choose joy. May we choose compassion over judgment, connection over isolation, and love over fear.

Join us this morning, Sunday, June 21, for a special Music Appreciation Sunday. Our choir will share some of their favorite songs and hymns as we celebrate the gift of music and the ways it helps us worship, pray, and connect with God. We will also take time to honor fathers and all those who have nurtured and guided us in faith and life. Come for a joyful morning of worship, gratitude, and inspiration!

What IF PETER had WALKED AWAY AFTER his MISTAKE?

On Sunday, June 21 (one day only), we are collecting shelf-stable milk in 32oz (quart) or 8oz (individual) sizes for our friends at Sunday Supper.

Your donations are distributed from a weekly grocery line. The small boxes go into “no kitchen” bags along with mini boxes of cereal for our unhoused guests. Those with housing really appreciate the bigger boxes to stretch their household groceries.

Your donations truly help, especially since we are getting less from Second Harvest Food Bank.

New volunteers are always welcome! Jobs include setup, food prep, meal service, grocery distribution, and clean up. Youth must be 13 years or older. You can sign up to volunteer through Church Center.

TONIGHT in Grace Groups: our first BBQ of the summer almost here! All are welcome THIS Wednesday, June 17 at 5:30 PM on the patio. Burgers, hot dogs, and all the fixings are just $5 per person or $15 per family. Afterwards, it’s Game Night! Take your pick of three stations: Farkle in Fellowship Hall, Bunco in the HUB, or Family Games on the patio. This is a wonderful time to invite friends and neighbors too!
