On Sunday, Lily Doan was commissioned to go on Greater Europe Mission’s ten2 Project. Please pray for her and all of the college students from churches across America who are going on this 10-week internship with long-term GEM field workers, to see disciples multiplied across 26 different countries.

As Jesus asked in Luke 10:2, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.”

A Prayer for Mother’s Day

Heavenly Father, Today we thank You for the women in our church family.

We thank You for the mothers who are celebrating today - the ones who are thriving in this season and the ones who may feel more acutely the burdens of motherhood right now.

We thank You for birth mothers, adoptive mothers, foster moms, stepmoms, spiritual mothers, grandmothers, and the women who mother through the action of their love, presence, wisdom, and faithfulness.

We lift up the women for whom today feels heavy. Those who are grieving mothers they deeply miss. Those grieving children they carry in their hearts. Those whose children are absent from their lives, and those carrying the ache of strained or broken relationships.

We pray for women longing to become mothers, women waiting, hoping, and trusting You in the unknown.

We pray for the moms who feel joy today, and for the moms who feel like they should be feeling more joy, or wish the joy came easier.

God, would You meet each woman exactly where she is? You are a God who sees us, who knows each story in this room fully and tenderly. So, God bless us today with the reminder that your care for us is constant, personal, and so so good.

Help us, as a church family, to honor, encourage, and support the women among us - not just today, but every day.

We love You, and we trust You with every story represented here. In Jesus’ name, Amen

What if waiting on God wasn't about sitting around anxiously, but about active worship filled with joy? The disciples were told to wait for the Holy Spirit, and their response might surprise you. They didn't pace around worried—they praised God with great joy. Are you waiting for things God never promised, or trusting His actual promises?

This is the theme verse for this year’s National Day of Prayer. Join us on Thursday May 7th from 7:00-8:30 in Fellowship Hall, glorifying God and seeking Him in prayer. Church leaders and members will lead us in prayer for our Church, Family, Education, Business, Military, Government, and the Arts and Media in both large and small group settings. It will be a great time of praising and seeking God through prayer.

Please bring your family and friends. Dessert and coffee will served. See more about this event and other prayer opportunities at Calvary at CalvaryLife.org/prayer
