MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: Strength is not proven when life is quiet and still. Strength is revealed when everything and everyone else around you feels uncertain. In moments of confusion, chaos and trials, many people lose their center because they believe that peace comes from their circumstances. But Scripture tells us, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in times of trouble.” It didn't say distant help, it said present help. Present means current, right now, when the world around you is shifting, there is a deeper place within you where your Spirit still lives. Strength is not the absence of chaos; it is standing firm and remaining anchored while everything and everyone else around you are living in fear.
Chaos has a way of demanding our attention, but wisdom teaches us not to surrender our peace to it. When everything around us is falling apart, Gods Spitit is there guarding your mind, steadying your thoughts, giving us strength while refusing to let confusion dictate our direction. The storm may rage outside of us, but it does not have to reign within us. When we anchor ourselves in God, clarity will rule. Our spirit will settles and our steps will become intentional again. We then realize that the strength we were searching for was within us the the entire time.
