MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: If you really want to know God, seek His face not just His hand. Just don't say, 'give me this and give me that.' Brag on God about Himself. Compliment God on His grace, His mercy and His wondrous deeds. So, in the midst of your prayers thank God for who He is not just for what He gives.

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: ‘Quiet Time Does Your Spirit Good’! ... Jesus went to the mountain to pray on many occasions, like before choosing his apostles, before the Transfiguration, and on the night of his arrest. He also went to the mountain to pray after feeding five thousand people and when he sensed that people were about to take him by force to make him king.

Every now and again, we need to break away from people, places, things, and/or distractions to gather our thoughts. In other words, we may need to quiet ourself so that we can hear from God. There are 24 hours in a day, and if you don't take out some time for quiet time, you probably won't be able to hear from God, gain clarity, and stay sane when adversity shows up. Throughout Jesus' earthly life, He found moments, sometimes days for quiet time. If Jesus, being God, needed it we do too. I challenge you to find some quiet time every day and spend time with God.

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: God doesn't trust those He does not test.

The test comes before the promotion. If you're being tested right now, know that there's something better on the other side that God wants to make sure you can handle.

Before Joseph ruled Egypt, he sat in prison. Before David wore the crown, he had to face Goliath and before Jesus started His ministry, He spent 40 days in the wilderness.

Your test isn't punishment. It's purification and preparation.

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: You’ve Struggled Long Enough... “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” —Exodus 14:14 (NIV)

All through life, the enemy tries to stop us with a yoke of bo***ge, a yoke of depression and/or a yoke of low self-esteem. He’ll also try to burden you down so that everything you do sems to be a struggle. You may be working hard, but you can’t get ahead because you have all these yokes controlling you.

Maybe you’ve been living with a yoke your whole life and you don’t even realize it. It’s been passed down to you by your ancestors. You can’t seem to get ahead. You’re struggling in your marriage. Your children won’t do what’s right. You have low self-esteem because that’s all you’ve known. But God said to the Israelites, “I have seen the affliction of My people, and I am coming down to deliver them.” God sees every yoke, every unfair situation, everything that you struggle with. He doesn’t just sit back and say, “Well, too bad.” No, He says, “I’m coming down to do something about it.” You don’t have to worry. The yoke destroyer is on the way. God is saying you’ve struggled long enough, “I’m coming down to put an end to that struggle. I’m shifting things in your favor. I’m delivering you from addictions. I’m removing the burden and setting you free to walk into the fullness of your destiny.”

Gods Grace Is Sufficient... Every moment of every day, God reaches into our lives with his hand of grace to help us through all that we will face. It's his way of saying, “I know you are weak, but I am strong. Rest in My power and let My grace take over when you are weak.” There isn't anything that God can't do or accomplish through us, so be glad and rejoice in knowing that whatever trials you are going through, know that whatever you lack know that God is more than able.

2 Corinthians 12:8-9 (NIV)... Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
