I have heard it said; "I would rather SEE a sermon, than HEAR one anyday."

Stop being impressed by those who QUOTE Scripture and be impressed by those who LIVE it.

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: “And a voice from heaven said, ‘This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased’” (Matthew 3:17).

A Life Pleasing to Christ... Am I well pleasing to the Lord? Do I model a life of submission to my Savior? Do I defer all honor and glory to Him? For my heavenly Father to be well pleased with me is the heartbeat of humility.

A Christian pleasing to Christ must learn that to be raised high means to begin low. Jesus did not begin His ministry by baptizing, but rather being baptized. He required of Himself everything that He expected from everyone else. Humble leaders do this; they follow the agreed upon guidelines, realizing that no one is above the rules. It is with a humble heart that a leader discerns the Lord’s ways and then lives them out in front of the faithful and faithless. It pleases your heavenly Father to see you engage in humble acts, especially as your influence grows. The closer you grow to Christ, the more you see the need for His grace and forgiveness.

You can only deal with the soul of another if Jesus has first dealt with your soul. It pleases Him when you first pronounce yourself needy, before you point out the needs of another. Humility looks inward at the heart before it outwardly observes the issues of others. The Lord is pleased when you take the lead to repent.

Private intimacy with your heavenly Father leads to a public display of your faith. He is well pleased with you when you publicly pronounce Him as Lord over your life. Humility pleases the Lord.

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: "Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved." --Psalm 55:22

You cannot alter your past, but you can put your past on the altar.

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." --1Peter 5:7

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: Trusting in the Lord, is faith. Leaning not to our own understanding, is humility. Acknowledging God at all times, is consistency. Trust, Obey and let God lead the way, because humility leads to teach-ability.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. ―Proverbs 3:5-6

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: God doesn't love you because you're valuable. You're valuable because God loves you. You can't do anything good enough to make God love you more. You can't do anything bad enough to make Him love you less. His love for you is final, unlimited, and unconditional. Your insecurity will try to convince you, "I'm not enough, He loves them more than me.” When doubt sets in remember these six words: “For God so loved the world.” You're on the list. You've always been on the list abd you'll always be on the list.

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: While taking someone to the polls today, who had knee surgery two weeks ago, to cast their vote. It became clear to me that to transition from my vehicle to her walker was not going to be easy. I realized that she just might fall, but I also realized that sometimes we may have to fall in order to correct our mistakes. Today is only day one and each new tomorrow will bring tremendous improvement as long as you have someone there to assist you. You will make it, as long as that someone is Jesus Christ. Jesus can do anything but fail. Hallelujah and Amen!

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: The price we pay for associating with the wrong people is far too high for us to keep being careless about who we allow in our circle. Everybody cannot go where God is taking you. Some people don't just come to distract you, they come to delay you, to confuse you, and in some cases, to tear down what you've worked so hard to rebuild. It's time we start using discernment and trusting that God is revealing these people for a reason. Because every connection is not God-ordained, and every relationship is not meant to be maintained. Guard your circle and protect your peace. Because the cost of letting the wrong people in will always be greater than the discomfort of walking away.

MY THOUGHT FOR YOU TODAY: Be careful who you run with, because everybody smiling in your face doesn't have your best interest at heart, nor do they want to see you move forward. The wrong people will drain your energy, dull your vision, and keep you tied to places you have already outgrown. But the right ones, they’ll challenge you, push you, sharpen you, and help elevate you to places you couldn’t reach alone. Stop entertaining people who don’t match your growth or your goals. Your future is too valuable to be connected to dead weight. Choose wisely because one wrong connection can delay your destiny, but one right connection can launch you to a whole new level.
