Thought this was a good morning praise so I copied it for you.

Upon Awakening,

Dear Lord,

I thank you for the breath that I can breathe within these lungs

Thank you for these eyes, that I can see the morning sun

Thank you for the touch that I can feel against my skin,

as my animals begin to rise and snuggle further in,

Thank you for this roof that is over all our heads,

and thank you for this comfortable place that I can call my bed

Thank you for the sun as it begins to rise

I thank you for above whether blue or stormy skies

Guide me in your peace Lord, show me how to walk with you,

Show me that when I cannot see that I will blindly follow you

Let me be your shining beacon in the world that needs more reason

Let me feel your constant presence in the ever changing seasons

Speak clearly in my mind so that I might be able to hear

When you need to use me, let me hear your voice so clear

For today let me move so peacefully but loud enough to be

One that moves and shifts enough to make the demons flee

I praise you in my heart, and I praise you in my mind

Thank you for today and all that I may find.

Today is yet another gift you have bestowed to me

Thank you for everything Lord,

your love, your grace, and especially your mercy.
