You are not God’s cop, sister.
Let them be…
I know the sanctified “God’s employee of the month outfit” is cute and we all like to wear it…
But can I tell you that if we haven’t fasted for that person….
If we haven’t washed their feet and brought them before the Lord…
Then perhaps we should reevaluate our motives.
Yikes, I know…me too.
Take your hands off of the situation so that there’s room for His.
Stop letting that person you’re trying to change steal your joy.
Stop letting that situation that you can’t do anything about rob you of your peace.
It has nothing to do with us if we’ve given it to the Lord….and if we haven’t…
Then we’re more than likely just gossiping.
If you really want to change that person…lay down your spiritual handcuffs and pick up fasting for them.
If you really want their soul saved give up being ready to write that citation and adopt praying for them.
If we ran our mouths in prayer as much as we do at the bank or local pharmacy…
We’d be in good shape and so would they.
We are on guard and always ready to arrest and crucify.
But if you’re going to nail them to that cross you better pull out a few more nails… because you deserve to be there too.
We all do.
Just thinking today that perhaps we need to stop pretending to care so that gossip doesn’t feel like gossip…
And maybe we should stop faking sympathy so that judgment doesn’t feel like judgement.
I’m talking to me too.
God doesn’t need our opinion.
God doesn’t need cops…
…He needs servants.
And lately I’m afraid that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are glorified tattle-tales…🤍
