Dear Friends,

As we continue the "Faces of Our Faith" series this Sunday, we are using a story from Summer Experience that describes Jethro's visit to his son-in-law, Moses. Using the example of cooking, the children learned that even "top chefs" can't do everything on their own. In a big restaurant, lots of dishes need to be ready at the same time. That’s why everyone in the kitchen has to work together. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Jethro gives similar advice to Moses, telling him to choose some helpers to share the load. What about us? Are we trying to do it all or are we building teams of people with gifts to share our ministries? It's tempting to think we can and should do it all, but is that really possible? Why do we need to take it on alone? What about our responsibility to help identify the gifts of others and help them find their place in the community?

Join us on Sunday as we explore the story of Jethro and Moses and what it might say to us.

Put us inside a giant warm flour tortilla because this year's
Summer Experience Is a WRAP!!

The week was filled with creativity, teamwork, games, music, Bible stories, and lots of fun as our young chefs discovered what God is cooking up in their lives!
We are so thankful for every child who joined us, every volunteer who gave their time and energy, and every church member, parent, and friend who helped make this week possible. Seeing kids learn, play, create, and grow together has been such a blessing!

This Sunday we look forward to sharing three of our songs from the week.
Children and adults are asked to meet 10:40 am
in the sanctuary for rehearsal.

If you’ve considered singing in the sanctuary choir our summer choir is a great way of dipping your toe into the musical water! Sundays, June 21 and 28 adults and youth are invited to meet 10:15 in the choir room to prepare music to be sung in worship.

NOTES:
If you have a young child, bring them with you to rehearsal and, if they'd like to, let them stand with you as we sing in worship.
We will NOT wear robes.

U.S. Supreme Court denies Alabama's request
to allow ex*****on using nitrogen gas

From Jeffrey Lee's legal team:

The Supreme Court refused Alabama's demand to execute Jeffery Lee tonight. His jury voted for life. Two courts ruled the method unconstitutional. Today, the Constitution prevailed. Now Governor Ivey can finish what the jury started: restore the jury’s verdict of life without parole.
