God wants us to love each other in the same way that He loves – unconditionally. In fact, God wants us to love in such a way that the people around us will know we are fully devoted followers of Christ. The Bible tells us to practice love. Love is an ongoing and very deliberate choice – not an emotion or a feeling. We challenge you to step out in faith today and choose to love that difficult person, a person who isn’t like you, said something unkind to you or just something you didn’t like, or they acted in a way you didn’t agree, or maybe their actions or dress code wasn’t what you like, could it be you don’t like the way they think, or in the way they speak, maybe you don’t like the color of their skin, or they are male or female, old or young, from another country or even state/county, go to another school, cat lover or dog lover. We can go and on, people can find all kind of reasons not to love or even like someone. Step out and love that someone in your life the way Jesus loves you. We all matter in God’s eyes. He shows no favorites, we are all equal. Wonder what the world would look like if we all choose to live in unity and love. All for His Glory! No hate, just loving one another as He loves us.
