Every contribution helps!!!

As we prepare for camp… make all the orders… pack all the totes.. and make all the menues and schedules… we find ourselves counting our funds and then recounting and praying for God to multiply them…

A gentleman walked up to me a couple of weeks ago and handed me $100 bill. His only request was that I couldn’t use it for anything we would normally get for the girls. It had to be something extra to make the feel extra special. He did it in honor of his daughter…

God took that $100 and multiplied the “extras” exponentially! Due to clearances found that same week….

All 24 girls will be getting (in addition to the blanket, water bottle, toiletry bag, pillow and pillow case, full pencil pouch, journal, shirts, duffle bag, and Bible)…
💕specialty candy sucker in their bunk color
💕spa headband and hair clip
💕facial roller and massager
💕satin bonnet/satin pillow case

Yes, these may sound silly to most of us… but what teen girl - age 12-15 - doesn’t want those exact bougie extra things????? TRAC isn’t just about meeting basic needs- it’s about showing these kiddos that they matter! That they are deserving of more!!! That they are a child of God!!! That they are NOT less! That there is HOPE for them in God’s promises to take their messes and create HIS masterpiece.

Every contribution helps! And yes! It’s ok to tell us to use it the way God tells you to… it’s HIS camp! 🏕️

Teen Reach Adventure Camp is HOPE. TRAC is a national organization, with camps represented in several states. What happens when you take “those” teens…

Then ones that live in circumstances not of their own decision…
The ones with stories that most grown adults can’t stomach to even listen to….
The ones that have lived in fight and flight their entire lives…
The ones who were abandoned…
The ones who have seen too much for their age…
The ones whose childhood was taken away…
The ones who the world says is hopeless….

And you ….
Not just teach the to cook, but believe in them to cook as teams to make a meal for their TRIBE!
Not just tell them they can’t drive, but let them check the oil in a car and learn what’s under the hood and get their learners manual!
Not just yell at them for not having money for what they need, but teach them how to budget what they have when they get a job and what credit is!
Not just give them handouts like beggars, but teach the to fish and hunt and forage!
Not just let them stay in their emotions and get in trouble, but teach them ways to journal and cope and what is playing into some of their bad decisions!
Not just let them bleed and hand them a bandaid, but teach them to take care of wounds caused by others and read medication bottles and understand hygiene!

What happens when you stop calling them AT- Risk and remind them they are FOR A PURPOSE?
What happens when you stop telling them how horrible the are and start empowering them to become who God intended them to become?

….. you see God’s power in them!

TRACLife mentoring Spring Event saw God’s power and purpose in “those” kids!!!!

But most importantly they lived in words of life spoken over them by 25 volunteers for an entire day! They learned to play games and enjoy them with others following the rules. They learned archery the right way!!! They played and laughed together! They earned certificates of completion in 6 courses they passed! They smiled and cheered for each other and expressed how excited they were to hang those certificates up proudly! They believed in them!

Choose to lift each child up always! Every single one is worth all we have in Jesus name!!!

TRACTribe isn’t just a camp… it’s not just a get away… it’s a life-changing encounter with God for teens that may never get another opportunity to - be part of something greater, to hear that they CAN, to learn of God’s love - to feel the presence of Holy Spirit…

For a teen to go to camp and be in the program is $400. Camp, mentoring, events, a connection to others, HOPE when all they know is hopelessness ….

How can you help?
Could it be a family sponsoring a youth?
A small group sponsoring a girl or boy?
Purchasing a Bible so they can have their very own?

"I'm not good enough."
"I'm too stupid."
"I'm too broken."
"I'm damaged goods."
"I'm too hurt."
"Nobody wants me."
"Nobody will ever want me."
"I won't ever amount to anything."
"I'm not good enough for college."
"Why don't my parents want me?"
"Why don't they love me enough to stay sober?"
"Why won't they fight for me?"
"Why am I so unlovable?"
"When the lights go out, bad things happen."
"Your flashlights remind me of the time I was locked in a trunk and the cops came to rescue me."
"I don't trust him, he came in my room at night. That's why I got a gun."
"My punishment was being locked outside in the winter."

When you serve... this is the kind of stuff you'll hear from your camper.. You will quickly realize that this is not your typical youth camp. You may think you're not equipped for this and you may not be, but God. All He needs is a willing heart and a, "yes."

3 days with them may not feel like enough, but it's enough for God. And it's worth it.

We got these tattoos in honor of our TRAC campers. Bc we made a vow to never let a camper walk away feeling unloved, unwanted and unworthy. They are more than their brokenness. They are more than their past. They are more than their mistakes. They are more than their abuse. They are worth fighting for. They are not forgotten. They are treasured. They are valued. They are loved. They are wanted.

This is the reason we TRAC every year. To hear things like this..

"I feel seen."
"I feel heard."
"I feel chosen."
"I feel valued."
"I feel loved."

A lot can happen in 3 days.
A lot can happen with your, "Yes."

Thank you for saying, "Yes!" to TRAC. We appreciate you more than you know.

Here are ways you can still serve even if you're not able to commit the whole weekend or stay overnight.

Tribe finds Tribe wherever we are….

Kiddos often first come to camp filled with rage, fear, alone trapped in a world they didn’t create, resenting the word family, angry with the people they love the most… their parents, abandoned, confused, hopeless…

At the end of 3 days…. They know they are part of so much more. They are Tribe…. TRACTribe! They know they are not alone! They know God did not abandon them, but instead is walking with them through their hardest times! They know they are HIS! They feel hope!

TRAC is more than you could ever imagine! TRACTribe runs to find each other across a crowded room! Tribe celebrates together, and talks excitedly about our next event together. Kiddos aren’t ashamed… they are proud to be TRIBE

The hours it takes to set up the first picture- the prayer, the patience, the love, the donations, the meticulous attention to detail…. Allows TRACTribe kiddos to feel the peace and quiet that is the second picture.

One of the favorite pastimes at camp is fishing. The calmness, serenity, and time in one’s mind- the chances to talk real life, for teachable moments ALL seem to magnify in the lake….. this will forever be the favorite view of so many volunteers… the best memories for so many campers…. And the spot of accepting God for multiple people….

There is no doubt fishing is more than rods and reels and crickets… it’s protected moments in God’s creation… it is a “home base” for TRIBE members young and old!

Fishing department needs 3 helpers at each camp (boys and girls) - donations of line, rods, flat bottom boats, trolling motors, canoes, and paddle boats… fishing needs prayer! Fishing needs intentionality for Tribe kiddos to chase God and ultimately become fishers of men!

This is TRAC!

Camper L had never been close to a horse before. His fear came out in his oh so colorful jokes and “I’m too tough for this” attitude. But his counselor didn’t force it, he embraced it… went at camper L’s pace, and allowed room for calmness and peace to set in.

Camper L rode this horse that day… and held many other barnyard animals! (His favorite at the end of the day was still the small kitten)

This year, camper L is looking forward to learning to ride on a tube, playing flag football with all his TRACTribe buddies, fishing, and making his own pancakes with the chef (he requests we have chocolate chips)….

For campers like camper L to attend camp and events through the year is $400….. our goal is to have all 48 campers (24 boys and 24 girls with as much excitement as L) sponsored!

This is men stepping in…

2 boys-
Backgrounds different as night and day-
At school, they fight each other -
In the world, they both feel alone-
Away from TRAC, they cover their bodies and hair -

But here…. At camp and at events- they get to…
Relax-
Let their guards down-
Be friends-
Do art and be proud of it-
Learn from a man that they are capable of love-
Learn from a man how to treat his wife-
Learn from a man how to pray-
Learn from a man how to trust-

This summer we plan for 24 boys to attend- but only if more men step in and step up! They need men that are willing to clear their calendar for just 3 days! Go all in, and prove to them that they are WORTH stopping the world for….

Currently, we do not have enough men to welcome 24 young guys to camp…. How will you help? How will you get these boys the male role models they need - for just 3 days?

When you decide to sponsor a camper for TRAC… this is the power your provide!

Camper A has been with us 4 years now… each year, thankfully, sponsored by a different family! Blessed to meet him within 30 days of his big life change… the one that qualified him for camp. We have been through highs, lows, learning, bonding, maturing, fishing, art, Christmas, and fun events, holding barn animals, and first time playing football in a creek, but most importantly we watched as he accepted Christ - at camp- 🏕️

Last night some of our volunteers were at Night to Shine to volunteer… and there was Camper A… together they enjoyed serving God and others alongside each other… tribe together for yet another impactful life moment!

Camper A needs to be sponsored again this summer. 40 others, with pasts they didn’t wish for but got stuck in, will be at camp…. Many for the first time… but they will only get to go thanks to sponsors!

$400 sponsors a camper for a year of camp and mentoring. How can you help today?

Nothing says “camp” more than this!

We all remember his fear of getting close to the water… and trust me it was God that got him in the boat! But the smile on his face that day… when he accomplished a hard task! When he overcame a fear! When everyone at the lake cheered for his fish… HE felt like a superstar! And in our eyes every one of these teens are just that!

Fishing, boating, archery, and hiking around the lake are HUGE events at camp each year!
