Heavenly Father,
We come before You with grateful hearts as another school year comes to a close. For the past nine months, You have covered, protected, guided, and sustained our students, teachers, administrators, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, custodians, support staff, and every individual who played a role in this school year. Through early mornings, long days, challenges, accomplishments, tests, lessons, victories, and moments of growth, Your hand has remained upon us, and for that we say thank You.
Lord, thank You for the wisdom You provided to teachers, the patience You gave to parents, the strength You gave to staff members, and the knowledge and perseverance You placed within every student. Thank You for every milestone reached, every lesson learned, every obstacle overcome, and every child who made it safely through this academic year.
As summer begins, we ask for Your divine protection over every student, educator, and family. Cover them wherever they may go. Protect them on the highways, in neighborhoods, at camps, at jobs, on vacations, and in every environment they enter. Surround them with Your angels and keep them safe from danger, violence, accidents, sickness, bad influences, and unseen harm.
Father, we boldly pray against every evil plan, harmful intention, and negative influence aimed at our children, teachers, and communities. We cancel every assignment of violence, abuse, neglect, depression, addiction, and destruction in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and we ask that You expose and block the plans of anyone who would seek to cause them harm.
Lord, we also pray against the summer slump. We ask that every student retain the knowledge, wisdom, skills, and confidence gained throughout this school year. Let their minds remain sharp, creative, and engaged. May they return to school stronger academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually than they were before. Let this summer be a season of growth and preparation for even greater success.
We pray that students use their free time wisely and productively. Lead them toward activities that are healthy, uplifting, educational, creative, and fun. Place positive role models, mentors, coaches, and friends around them. Help them discover gifts, talents, and passions that will shape their future in meaningful ways.
Father, we lift up every parent, guardian, and caregiver. Provide every resource they need to keep their children healthy, safe, happy, fed, encouraged, and whole throughout the summer months. Open doors of provision, support, childcare, employment, transportation, recreation, and community assistance where needed. Strengthen homes with peace, love, patience, and unity.
And Lord, we pray that Weeping Mary Baptist Church will continue to be a blessing to families in the community. Show us how to help fill every gap. Use the church to provide encouragement, support, resources, mentorship, love, and hope wherever there is a need. Let us be the hands and feet of Jesus throughout the summer and beyond.
We thank You in advance for a safe, joyful, productive, and blessed summer. We trust You to watch over every child, every educator, every family, and every member of our community until we prepare again for a new school year.
