Steps of Salvation
Salvation is God’s free gift to mankind, however in order to receive this gift there are some steps we must take.
1) Believe in Jesus as the son of God - John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life”.
2) Repent of sin, and our worldly lifestyles – Acts 3:19 “Repent, then, and turn
to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,”
3) Confess your belief in, and acceptance of Jesus as Savior and Lord – Romans 10: 9-10 “That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”
4) Be Baptized-Jesus says in Mark 16:16 “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.”
5) Live a life of Faithfulness-Jesus says in Revelation 2:10b “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
